Exploring Uwharrie National Forest: Badin Lake OHV Trails - Part 2

I've done that climb on my Africa Twin and it is not for the faint of heart, but you were past the hard parts!

This place is great if you own a wheeler or motorcycle. Especially with an on and off road bike. You can go anywhere in the park. Unless your bike is street legal u have to stay on the trails.

It helps to know where you are going. There are some trails at uwharrie that are fucking treacherous.

Yep! I recently went back during the week and was able to ride a lot of the trails without so many jeeps to worry about. I got the map and stayed off the difficult trails but even the moderate trails got insane at points haha. Those videos will be coming out over the next few weeks.

@@wanderingturtleadventures8619 it’s very very rocky there. Go there with the wrong equipment, (trial tires or worse) and it will not be good. It has always been impressively dangerous.

Great videos! I’m almost done upgrading my DR650 and have been looking forward to going up there. Never been there before, so a bit apprehensive as I’m no spring chicken😂 and haven’t been off road in ages. But seeing your video and the trails, I think I’ll be okay. Maybe an overnight stay as well.....I’ll see. I’m about one hour away. Thanks!

It’s a great place. You’ll definitely have a good time riding around the gravel roads. The trails are super tough for big bikes but not impossible by any means. Wolfs den seems like the best bet. I didn’t get too far into the actual trails because of all the traffic. I’d definitely recommend going during the week if possible!

Im older than dirt myself man....trails are marked for difficulty...Have done them all on my DR650...but it is seriously equipped. Also have a 23 KTM 690 ...first time there on it today....no broken ribs but definitely a bruised lung....not so many crashes at Uwharrie...more low speed slammed to the rocks. Lol...great place

@@wanderingturtleadventures8619 I wish haha I just found out a few hours ago the bike is totaled, I hope to get another one maybe I'll get 690 just for a color change but I will miss the bigger tanks mine had, I might just keep it and have a salvage title but I'm not sure
