If you will reveal to me the lyrics in your intro between ...times runnin' out... and...crawl in the slime, I'll buy two more hoodies for my granddaughter. What say ye mate?

U know yr doin' good if u scare yrself in post-production! Aw, Tippy! When we were kids, my cuz had a lil' terrier mix w/that name. She wasn't very good w/keeping him on-property - neighbors filled the wee guy full of b-b's & left him on the porch for her to find. Yr Tippy rescue's a much happier tale than mine. Enjoyed the museum tour - I can recall when/where u discovered several items. Great run-down on history surrounding each display. Signage, rock/crystal samples, bottles, hats/lanterns, sewing machines & old phones = especially cool! Relatives in old portrait hanging on wall?

Hello friend Frank, I was on a couple mine tours back in 1980's to mid 1990's at Virginia city Nevada, one mine was in back of a saloon they opened a back door and there was the mine portal entrance, and another mine tour down the hill from main part of Virginia city. They were pumping fresh air into both mines,( limited tour's) only mine's ever been through, most of Virginia city mine's have bad air, ( no air ) that's what tour guide said. I panned for Gold also, got some flakes👍😊, a couple year's ago--- two Boy's went into a mine on their own, they never came out!! Died, found later BAD AIR!!, A Also geothermal area in most those old mine's, and many under "HOTWATER "I ENJOYED your mine museum! Thank you!!👍😃👍

@@exploringabandonedmines thank you sir for that information on poisonous gas, I had been up to Kamloops Canada in 1969 with my family on a little vacation I was a teenager. I believe if I remember right kamloops is in white Horse county?, I wanted to ask you also do you believe in BIGFOOT? I do about 60%, or so, lots of your films I watched are in rugged Canadian country prime habitat for a creature like that, I had an experience of what could have been a Bigfoot up in Northern California in the 1990's, I Don't drink alcohol, or do drugs. I have my buglight and a self rescuer for your museum with some pay samples and other odds and ends including the brass tag we either turned over or moved to a section spot on the bathhouse wall when you entered or left the mine. There was a matching numbered tag riveted to our leather hefts, if that’s all they could find of us.

I was thinking of some from the past, guess I'm getting to be like my parents, back in the seventies. I really like your videos and think I've watch most of them. The time and extra work you do is a great service to the history of mining. The best in 2019. Would love to see you do some in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Nice additions to your museum. It amazes me what miners accomplished with the crude tools and technology available at the time. Just a comment about the vertical boiler. You mentioned that possibly it generated steam up to 2000 psi. Metallurgy and technology did not exit until the late 1940’s to early 1950’s that would support 2000 psi pressures. My guess is your riveted boiler generated 50-100 psi. maybe 150 psi. at maximum. The steam temperature at a 150 psi. Would have been around 370 degrees, pushing the metallurgy and safety limits of the boiler. I’ve enjoyed all your videos and look forward to the next ones. Wish I lived 2000 miles closer. Stay safe and Happy New Year.

@edwardschmitt57106 жыл бұрын
? He said the pyrite had no gold in it. Because gold and pyrite are found together does not mean pyrite has value. This is one of those "expanding on statement" posts. He was not discussing geology in general, and I am positive he knows they are found together because I learned that when he SAID IT in another video. Your post is an insult. Did it make you feel better to appear smarter?
@exploringabandonedmines6 жыл бұрын
You are right Edward. In the Highlander mine coming up in a few shows we see some of the richest pyrite deposits I have ever seen but it was a Lead mine that had no Gold. Same with many Copper deposits very rich in Pyrite but no Gold in the formation. Pyrite is common in many mineralized formation it doesn't mean anything. Sulphides and quartz are much better indicators or possible gold bearing material.
