Unless some greedy a-hole in a suit decides it's not "safe" or passes laws that makes it illegal to use Rec. vehicles as living spaces because it gets in the way of their money scam, I know what ur thinking "it's not a RV" do you think cops care what it technically is? They just care about their paycheck which is affected by their arrests, they'll claim they don't do that but you just have to watch closely and you'll notice that near the beginning or end of a month the police will be out more than usual trying to fill that quota...but I live in a "quiet" state...ND

Fly by Family Neat but remember codes can be changed/amended into something twisted with the right influences (I don't want it but I'm keeping my eyes open just in case). They've tried in a few places, I know of just one.. , there was a state trying to pass that RVs can Only be recreation use but people caught wind of it and called or emailed saying that's a terrible idea but it's only a matter of time before they try again. B*st*rds are literally the reason we don't/can't have nice things.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. Ladies and gentleman this is why I want to live in a tiny house. She just articulated everything I have been feeling over the past 2 years. We live SO disconnected to those around us these days. Having to rely on each other again to get through the day actually sounds amazing. Cooking a meal for your neighbors? Geniunely caring how they are? What is that? So sad how little we venture out these days, how have we forgotten what makes us human? Her philosophy is 1000% in line with my own. Minimalism, simplicity, community, frugality. Tiny houses are the objects of my life's greatest aspirations. Thank you for this amazing channel. Thanks for reading this, I love everyone here.

I live in a city and I know all my neighbours. It’s on you to get to know your environement, isn’t it?! I‘d love to live in a tiny house community in nature as well but laws in germany make it very hard to own and permanently live in a tiny. Also off-grid is prohibited by law, you must be connected to a sewage system and water. Similar to the laws in Nova Scotia. Also I work in the city and neither have a property nor a car so I just keep living where I am until laws and living situation change. 😊 Let‘s hope for the best! Peace

The cost of everything has driven everyone to work too hard and we are all fed up, housing and taxes are out of control, it has distroyed families and the economy everywhere, USA Canada, Europe you name it. We are back to the gypsy movement so to speak. More power to Dawn and those like her. We are trying to figure this all out too. I love the idea, just have to try it more designed for the elder and disabled.

this seems like it would help A LOT of first nations and people struggling in general. one lady from my reservation has a home like this that was build for free by a man who owns a company in mexico. my husband and myself have actually been really considering building a house like this that is completely off grid. I think this story encourages people to get back to their roots and simplify their lives in such a beautiful way! people are waking up and making moves in the right direction and its truly inspiring and beautiful!
@Incessuserro7 жыл бұрын
From my experience of "first nation" peoples a tiny home is irelevant. What would "help a lot" is ending alcoholism and drug abuse in their communities and prioritizing education and high standards of personal conduct. But what do I know, I'm just some traitor that escaped the reservation. Lucky me.
@Shawna877 жыл бұрын
Incessuserro no you're just uneducated. So let me school you just a tiny bit. Colonization nearly ruined the fabric of our being as onkwehon: we people. Yes we had wars and stuff BUT family was front and centre and so balance that's a FACT. We watched our children from birth to see what natural roll they might play in the community. We lost our languages, majority of our ceremonies because the ones who did them were mostly killed off. Now fast forward YEARS...you have residential school where BOTH my parents were taken and abused in horrendous ways. So here you have my grandparents who were raised dysfunctional because of all the trauma their parents went through during colonization. The trauma from those schools alone ruined MANY MANY lives and cheated generations out of loving functional parents. Lack of funds for education, healthcare, mental health has gotten us to where we are now. There are MANY MANY factors that play into where we are today. And its not just us, the pill epidemic is outrageous because unfortunately addiction doesn't discriminate when it comes to the color of your skin. Who distributes alcohol? Who distributes pain pills? Who distributes funds to better communities??? Education is KEY in all aspects of life.
@Incessuserro7 жыл бұрын
Yes, a defeated people. A culture that is devolving in the presence of a better one. It is a tragedy for our young ones for they are innocent. I regret this the most. Many like you are only doubling down on your adherence to a failing society. Possibly, something could be salvaged of North American aboriginal cultures but right now it's like throwing a six pack of beer to a drowning man. The white man lets the six pack go and swims to the boat. The red man holds onto the six pack and follows it down. When I instruct my students in Comparative Cultural Analysis we spend a lot of time on why some cultures fail and others succeed. Some cultures/communities have persevered under harsher conditions for longer periods of time than that of aboriginal North Americans yet today they numerous and thriving. We are not the first of many peoples to be buried and forgotten. But it is a pity that our peoples dug their own grave. What shame will be on our faces when we meet our elders in the lands of the next world.

@Incessuserro 🤣 well said. Also, many casino owning tribes are matter of fact, the mob. They aren't out to help the people because well-informed, healthy people aren't profitable. But all people are secretly evil like this. Celebrities, politicians, and especially corporate monopoly shareholders and the international banksters, aka the rothschild's. ODDTV and Eric Dubay. Know where you live. Find yourself. Wake up.

What I particularly love about your choice of subjects is that they have often lived in their tiny house for several years. One of the main flaws of shows like Tiny House Hunters is that we never hear if the subject found it livable or not after a year or two. Thanks for making such great quality videos!

This is the finest video I've seen on the topic of tiny houses. First, the house itself is beautifully done, on every level. What a gorgeous space in which to live. Add to that the lovely presence of this woman who is bright and engaging as she tells of her experience. I appreciate that the interviewer is not taking up space, but rather holding it open for this woman to share with all of us. I definitely will check out the Full Moon website. Thanks for the link.

I never expected to see a tiny house I liked so much. Love the island bench in the kitchen, even though a galley kitchen would have given more space. I never would have thought of it, and it adds more character, not to mention access to the cupboard under the corner benchtop. Also in love with the highly changeable living area. And the roomy bathroom! Yet it's not oversized at all. If the fridge were at least 4x that size, this tiny house would be perfect for me (just my veggie crisper needs to be bigger than that teeny fridge, haha). Good on her -- enjoyed this video so much I watched two and a half times.
@condew61038 жыл бұрын
I suspect living on 500 watts of solar affects how big her fridge can be. I'm surprised I don't see more top opening fridges in tiny houses. Door on the front is very convenient, but lets all the cold pour out every time you open it.
@LilacDaisy28 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's true. In my twenties, my family lived on a boat, and part of the kitchen benchtop were the lids for the deep freezer and fridge (Dad made them out of fibreglass & insulation). They definitely stopped the cold air escaping but to get to something down the bottom, you had to lift out the first big wire basket, full of stuff, leave it on the other lid and get what you wanted. Upright fridges are easier and neater ... but not near as efficient. Thanks so much for your comment -- I'm going to investigate whether I should go in that direction. New fibreglass stinks like crazy, but the long term savings could be worth letting it air for months before use?

I also loved the design of her home, because I can see the flexibility in the space. Thanks for sharing your work.

What a great idea! To go without a washing machine and use a friend's instead (whilst cooking them a meal in return), saving valuable space within the house! Very wise and creative thinking! One meets a lot of new and interesting people in not having washing drying machines at home. Super to hear this lady speaking on the subject. Thank you.

You make such a good point, that not many people realize when you said "you have to live in your house to know how to live in your house". We moved into our homestead and our kitchen was only portable tables for 2 years, we would move them around the kitchen (mocking counters) until the flow felt right. Then we finally built cabinets.

For any rules about tiny houses there should be an exception for one person living alone. If you are only endangering yourself (if there is any REAL danger at all), it's nobody else's business. Rules would stamp out innovation because codes usually prescribe rather than give reasons and principles. For a tiny hous you've got to start with reasons and create a solution rather than look at some code that says "minimum 3 foot" here, "8 inches/10 inches" there.

I absolutely love your tiny home and more, your idea of communal living. Nothing SHOULD prevent a land owner from severing parcels of land to each tiny home owner (so each could OWN their OWN piece of land) to then offer such things as a communal laundromat, tennis court, pool, or whatever else people in any community would want/require, for a fee (be it fixed fee or fee per usage, really) I particularly love your home's layout and the fact you "live on the floor" which is stg I would also do and ohhhh, I love your singing bowl!! 😄 All the Best to you for all of your years to come. Namaste✨🙏🏼
