Not really a new neighborhood concept. Pretty much what urban living was like before the US became car centric. Love the easy transportation options. What's old is new again.

Curious that you wouldn’t just frame it out and avoid the whole container cost and the constraints associated with it. Strange!

I love this one, perfect design. Love the open concept

What if every video game, book, or movie was short? Like 20-minutes long. While comics/manga and TV shows were always 3 issues/chapters/episodes long? Had everyone adopted the minimalist mindset decades/centuries ago.

3000 to his name; no bank account. Sorry dude but this sounds like extreme poverty; but we can call it minimalism if you want

I always love these designs but have a hard time understanding where the tv would go. Maybe that’s just me being a tv addict but my wife and I like to snuggle up and watch tv at night. Anyone have any thoughts?

I've lived in my tiny home for five years and love it, but this beautiful home is giving me second thoughts! It really is a work of art. I especially love the u-shaped kitchen on the end. I considered this for my own house, but decided to opt for the living room on the end instead. One thing that's missing (and I find this is so for most tiny homes) is a decent space to hide coats and boots near the entrance. I have an antique wardrobe that serves this purpose. I wonder how you could incorporate boot and shoe storage into this house.

Clovis, California encourages the building of ADUs. The city has several ADU floorplans that can be downloaded for free. The plans have already been pre-approved by the building commission so buyer/builders don't need to fight to get their blueprints approved.

It's too small for me but the design is really nice, compact but very open, lots of windows, very cozy.

To each its own but the place doesn't look cozy, not even plants, it looks unattractive. I do believe we usually have too much stuff.

I absolutely ❤ this!! I am curious, it's the bin galvanized steel? I would love to build like this but worry about the toxicity of metals like galvanized. I really love the kitchen!

Nice. I would have put the sliding door after the toilet or to separate the bedroom from the rest of the container…for true privacy - if guest in the space. Next container?! But im loving the great work.

$100K is great for what you have. Of course without your donated, and very capable, labor it would have cost a lot more. At least double I would think.

Why can’t they be cheaper than any construction material available. I’ll bet it doesn’t cost as much to make and to haul it is much more inexpensive. Make it cheaper and I would build with it.

I keep telling my parents to unload 90% of their accumulated stuff. They have a giant house full of crap they don't need. I hate too much of anything. I'm a firm believer that over accumulating things is like a subconscious stressor. Personally i wouldn't go quite as minimalist as you but i respect your lifestyle and think most people should at least move more in that direction. Well done
