4:10 This generator not soundproofed like the other two is a NO Break system, practically the electric motor drags the alternator with a kinetic mass, it feeds the privileged safety loads continuously without interruptions, in case of power failure from the external network the kinetic mass of the flywheel, about 5 tons keeps the alternator revolutions for a maximum of 16 seconds, in this short period of time the diesel engine must start and run at full speed and engage the transmission shaft with its clutch on the flywheel, before the voltage and the frequency dropped too much, this usually took place in 7 seconds, the engine and the oil remained preheated via electric resistances or external boiler to send them water at 70 °, ready to start quickly, this system is identical to the ACE HIGH troposcatter stations in Italy. 5:30 refrigerator piston compressor. 24:25 large analog telephone exchange, probably needed many external telephone lines as an exchange between the bases and the other bunkers, it is a pity you do not see the details, some components are rare and sought after by lovers of analogue telephone on twisted pair. I'm sorry for the mess that happened in Italy, it probably ends up in a cloud of smoke, it's an abandoned and poorly guarded place with nothing relevant. Thanks for the great and fascinating videos!
