I love it when artists who we admire are so humble and genuine. It gives us all hope. Thank you both! I follow you both on twitter too:)

You both touched on why I love watercolor so much. I started out using oils, but got tired of the drying time, and the smell of turpentine (at the time they didn't have odor free). I love the diversity. Watercolor can be so loose and abstract, but you can also create very tight and realistic. Even more than other mediums. Plus, you are correct. There is something about wet into wet that is magical!

That’s right. I didn’t know you started with oils. Wet into wet is so fun!

Thanks for this. I admire Tom’s art so much. I’m still trying to find out if I have anything to say as an artist so it was encouraging to hear him say he went through the same step.

What an insightful interview!I’ve watched many of the tutorials that both of you have posted and I really enjoyed them but this was a look inside, which was really good and encouraging. Thank you.

I loved the interview. It was very personal and inspiring but where's Tom's little mascot? Maybe next time. Thanks Matt.

I wouldn't say that his paintings grip me, but the interview is very nice.

Comparing Thomas's work against others [I do not mean to be clique] is like comparing an apple to an orange. Thomas's work has it's own realm.
