Looks like an old cinema, probably from the 1920s or 1930s. These were everywhere back in the day, operated by chains like Odeon, Gaumont and Rank, but TV killed them off in the 60s and 70s. Many then found a second life as bingo halls and nightclubs until the smoking ban killed those off too. They are usually very big prominent buildings so I'm surprised that this one has escaped being vandalised and torched. I bet a lot of those back of house areas haven't changed much since it was a cinema - they were always pretty spartan compared to the grand public rooms. The rake of the auditorium ceiling has been boxed in but is still clearly visible. Such a pity to see that amazing Art Deco plasterwork on the ceiling in such a bad way, but the huge roofs on buildings like this (most if which are getting on for 80-100 years old) require constant upkeep and fail quickly if neglected. Probably past saving by now sadly. (See also - the massive abandoned 1920s Odeon in Bradford city centre).

1) There is nothing 200 years old there in fact will be 100 years old in 4 years as the building was built in 1923 as a garage and car showroom. 2) Grand comes from Grand Bingo Social Club not from Grand Theatre. Yes I thought it may be just me! Ive noticed this mostly when pointing “selfie” and taking to the camera. Also occasionally there is an odd frame drop/judder issue I've noticed in many of fighters videos especially notable when watching on large screens. Fantastic content though keep up the good work!
