You take Old San Juan out of the equation and San Juan truly is a horrible city with ZERO urban planning, very little to show, barely walkable, and generally depressed. Santo Domingo lacks the colonial beauty of Old San Juan but it is a more impressive city and a true metropolis. Then there was Havana, once dubbed the "Paris of the Caribbean" and far ahead of the rest in terms of size and architectural beauty, but today it rots away as a communist dystopia. Hypothetically, even if Havana were to go back in time to its last year as capitalist city, 1958, it would also be superior than 2024 San Juan.

¿"Bien planificada"? Dios... San Juan tiene CERO planificación urbana. Saca el Viejo San Juan de la ecuación (el area de Puerta de Tierra en general) y San Juan no tiene belleza o armonía alguna. No tiene avenidas, parques centrales, ningun plan hipodámico, pocas áreas peatonales, o nada competente - al menos que lo compares con Kingston, San Jose, o Managua.
