Hello sir, I am performing ballistic impact analysis on composite material using abaquas but while calculating residual velocity my velocity is not reducing too much it reduces from 100 m/s to 99 m/s What to do?

Time to do a full scale test to see if your composite material is really as poorly performing as the test shows. I'd assume it wouldn't be because finite element analysis is notoriously bad at accurately simulating materials with non uniform properties like composites. This is a reason why composites aren't used in very demanding conditions like deep sea or in space as the properties can't be fully understood using traditional methodology.
