I agree, these collection agencies that can charge $35 every time they send a request for money is outrageous. You know darn well that company is maybe spending $5 a year per person and yet probably racks up 300-500 a year in fees. I only owed money once, and it was for a stack of overdraft fees as I was unaware that they were occurring at that time; so $30 of purchased items turned into $500+ negative balance. Needless to say I changed banks.

The three people all trying to speak and be understood in English and failing in three different ways for different reasons cracked me up, I won’t lie. Mind you, I’m someone who somewhat regularly has to communicate with gestures and a very limited vocabulary in a language I can only somewhat understand if you speak to me slowly in one particular dialect, so I wasn’t laughing AT any of the individuals doing their best to communicate…but it was a hilariously American scenario.

Our son started French Immersion here in Canada 🇨🇦 in kindergarten, he graduated grade 12 bilingual in French. It brings to mind that when he was 5 or 6 years old, he understood he knew a different language so he thought that meant he could speak all languages not just French & English. We were in a Chinese restaurant one time, around the age 5 or 6 for him, and the wife owner spoke very broken English. My husband was attempting to chat with her, but our son could see he was struggling. He leaned over and whispered to his dad he could help him because he spoke Chinese! While I understand the seriousness of the case of questionable Enhlish, I think the defendant recognized the court clerk had an accent, and psychologically that was an aid to her.

I think it's ridiculous that the max in any state for accident resulting in death in max 2 years. Someone died, that has to be minimum 10 years at the very least.

Why? If it was just an accident? Or are you talking about drunk driving? If you’re talking about drunk driving “accidents” then I agree, but just plain accidents I heavily disagree.

@@chilltheheckoutwithava1454 "just accidents" almost never result in death, someone is speeding on dry ground or in rough weather conditions yet we call those "accidents". Someone is driving recklessly and we call THOSE "accidents". If were talking about a truck tire flying off causing a death, then no, that is a true accident. 2 cars hitting each other going at normal speed don't result in death. If a motorcyclist if obeying the law and some a$$hat in a car/truck is to lazy to turn their head to see if anyone is there then yeah, send them to prison for that.

I love this judge... Old school, but respectful of the repercussions of what the people do (that ends up hurting and even death for innocent others i.e. traffic accidents from drunk driving etc.)...
