Have you listened to Dave Neal's coverage of the Clayton case? He was threatened with so many with lawsuits and the FBI was called to complain about his coverage. Laura was trying to silence anyone who covered it. It's been next level crazy since this new lawyer, I believe her 3rd or 4th, entered the game

I love your channel so much. Was pleasantly surprised to see you cover a case I was following (owens) keep up the good work. My favorite KZbin lawyer. (Tho Emily is deff second place) Also, the lawyer says the biggest issue was the PP, but the biggest issue was she had no doctor visits, no ultra sounds, no death certificates, no doctor saying they saw her. NOTHING. That was the biggest issue. The case is also famous because she went to some news place and gave them the story. I would love to see all her lies get called out again. Edit to add, she also accused Clayton’s lawyer of trying to s3xuly assault her.

With the Sovcit stuff, someone NEEDS to explain to these people that they might think their legal position is true, and correct, BUT EVERYONE who has the power to take away your money and your liberty do NOT. [EDIT] I feel like they should be sent a list of youtube videos of how Sovcit stuff ACTUALLY goes down in court so they can at least (as Uncivil Law so aptly puts it) 'Learn from the misfortune of others'. I recognise this would most probably not have the desired effect, BUT it might help a few people.

So, Glanville only deferred the latter ruling to another court because the Supreme Court of GA “signaled” him that he’d better damn well do so when the defendants went above his head first. And Kayla Bumpus was appointed by Melnick last minute cause he was going on vacation and had not been told by the prosecution that they intended to call his client that week. Love seriously tried to keep Woody appearing on the DL from both defense and his own council. This whole situation is gross, including Krause indicating she thinks the ex parte was proper.

I'm sorry, but isn't a judge's father a member of the public, publicly attending a public trial? He can sit there every day if he wants. It indicates absolutely nothing one way or the other about the judge herself.

2:37:20 The question I have that I haven't seen anyone address yet is what kind of leeway the judge would have under the existing circumstances. Ms. Owens was ordered by Judge Mata to disclose all of her medical records about the alleged pregnancy to Mr. Echard. Ms. Owens signed a HIPPA release that encompassed several doctors and an imaging lab, which Mr. Echard's lawyers followed up on. At Ms. Owen's deposition, she admitted to tampering with her ultrasound image to change the name of the place. Another HIPPA release was signed for that place. The lawyers confirmed that the ultrasound image came from neither place. On the day of trial, Ms. Owens then said, when confronted on cross, that they hadn't checked a 3rd location for the ultrasound and said she went there. The 3rd place was not part of the original discovery and was kept hidden until the day of trial. Does that give the judge any leeway to be able to confirm if it was even possible to have had an appointment, because Ms. Owens didn't comply with discovery, and it would have been impossible for Mr. Echard's attorneys to combat such a claim in front of the judge?

One thing to note Runkle, Ginger’s appears to be using weasel words. Judge Mata is making her decision based on the full record, including the full report of Clayton’s expert, not just the portions that were testified to in person during the hearing. It may be that the fact that planned parenthood is closed on Sunday is contained in that report, and was never elicited as testimony during the hearing. People have also pointed out that there is case law in Arizona that allows judges to “confirm their intuition” using the internet (the actual case involves a yellow rain hat, I’ll try and find it and link it).

The case is US v Bari, and is likely not directly applicable because it is a bail revocation issue, but it is possibly applicable.

The “Nuts!” incident was Anthony McAuliffe. My understanding is he was a man of few words, and when someone asked what they should send back as a response to the Germans he muttered “nuts” or “that’s/they’re nuts” so “Nuts!” Became the response.
