EXPLOSIVE Stormgate Units Look AWESOME

In today's stormgate casted game we see the stormgate celestial armada versus the stormgate infernal host in a match played on broken crown hinterlands.

I’m very anti human in any game I play. We’ll have to see if I lean infernal or celestial. Maybe the tier 3s will make the difference

The fact that they're always assumed to be the "default race" and usually get lots of cheat mechanics like scans and recycle just make them extra annoying

the Kri is a cool unit, but I think it feels a bit janky when it goes into its invulnerable state. The fact that they can absorb basically infinity damage during that time feels off. The fact that they can still attack during that state is also a bit weird. Maybe it'd be better if they got a speed boost and lost their attack but explode as soon as they're in range of an enemy

Those are some cool suggestions, because tbh it looks really hard to actually land when they're going to explode because how slow they become. Even if they had to be tuned down in terms of explosion damage to compensate, I'd love to see a faster speed because they become so slow they can't keep up with any unit moving away such that when they become invulnerable their main utility is just tanking ranges unit shots I guess, unless opponent takes a trade or looks way lol

awesome game! it was nice to finally watch a replay against celestials that wasn't so one-sided. also, once you mentioned the cool death animation of the argents, I couldn't help but notice not only how cool their death animation was, but how cool a lot of the units' death animations are. great cast man! looking forward to another one!

I played Vanguard the most in Elephant and enjoyed it a lot. Back then it was my favourite faction In the most recent playtest I didn't got a lot of time to play but got very excited to play a bit more infernals. They have been my favourites since From a community poll a week ago the favourites were: 21% Vanguard 16% Infernals 29% Celestials 33% Undecided (Out of 533 votes total) Personally I'm happy seeing any faction Stormgate games. And very excited to play again soon!

Nice!! I really enjoyed playing vanguard but I gotta say coming from aoe4 (although the civilisations are assymetrical the macro is relatively similar in aoe4. Stormgate whilst only having 3 factions they all fell incredibly different to each other as macro is even different at a fundamental level, sure 2 resources but the way they are gathered entirely different! Really crazy imo how switching factions feels like you have to completely re-learn fundamentals of the game xD. (disclosure: I never really played sc2). Feels like it takes a big leap to start learning a new faction (which is a good thing). Very optimistic about stormgate's future for sure. I hope ya enjoy the upcoming content, thanks for hanging out!

Seems to me that Celestials are the ultimate feast or famine. They are either oppressive at the beginning. Containing you and beating you non-stop, but if the containment fails, they fall flat on their face. Reminds me a bit of Warcraft 3 Tower Rushers. Overall not a big fan. Have not seen a good back and fourth game with that race. Either oppressively crushes you if played by someone like Parthing or is subpar
