Expobar Espresso Machine Pump Runs Continuously - Water Level Sensor

In rare cases, an electrical connection to a boiler water level sensor can be dislodged inside Expobar and other machines with a heat exchange boiler. This causes the machine's pump to run continuously and leak water inside from a pressure relief valve on the boiler. In this video, Todd shows you how to remove the outer case of an Expobar Office machine, diagnose and quickly fix the problem by reattaching the wire to the water level sensor.

I came here because my temperature reading is erratic and I suspect the temperature sensor is faulty. Looks like it might be that black wire in the top of the other tank. Thanks for this video - gives me an idea of what to expect when I take the machine apart at least!

my expobar machine is an old two group model, it's doing this exact thing, but i made sure it's not the water level sensor, what else can it be? it's continously filling all the way to the top

Maybe in the electronic controls beyond the level sensor?

Mine is doing the same, even after replacing the water level sensor. completely stumped at why the water just pores out while the pump runs continuously. any thoughts?

Hi, I've had my machine for 2 months and this started happening, however I have reconnected the wires nicely and the issue still occurs. The safety valve isn't as screwed down as the one shown in this video, should I force it to screw in further or source a replacement safety valve?

I bought this machine from whole latte and am having the same issue. Machine is 2.5 yrs old. I have checked the connectors and all connections are ok. The boiler gauge goes to 2 Bar and steams starts leaking and boiler makes popping sounds. what else should I check?
