Try downloading VLC player. It’s able to read pretty much every codec/format

Kyro, install MPV. It'll play it back just fine.

In my Premiere Pro 2020 it plays on the display, all I did was Download a HEVC Video codec for Windows 10, I guess there's also for Mac available. That's because "GoPro CineForm" uses a HEVC video codec, basically, it's the Codec used by GoPro for their high-quality video format. I hope it clears up why it won't play if you directly import it. You need a GoPro Codec for it, which can be downloaded.
