I always used to use capcut because it gave me the ability to create professional looking videos without the boundaries of a professional type software (Like Adobe's subscription or Davinci's hard learning curve). I really do recommend it for any beginners looking to make professional looking videos. However, I have recently left Capcut, because it was about a 50% chance that mp4s would turn into mp3s and it would make the editing process like 4x longer.

@@TheAikatsuFan actually, I often do this. E.g. you can cut a video without re-encoding it so it happens "immediately". Also rotation, playback speed and concatenating clips is kind of easy to do and much faster than messing with a full-blown video editor program. Here are some examples: Cut (without re-encoding): ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -ss 00:00:12 -to 00:02:30 -c copy output.mp4 Rotate by 180°: ffmpeg -display_rotation 180 -i input.mp4 -codec copy output.mp4 Scale resolution of a video to 1920 pixels (keep aspect ratio): ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf "scale=1920:-2" output.mp4 Fade first 5 seconds of a video: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf "fade=t=in:st=0:d=5" out.mp4

First time watching your channel-you're killing it! I love the content! By the way, I use CapCut daily to edit TV ads, and there are so many hidden tools you haven’t explored yet. The pro version has even more features that are really impressive. I used to be an Adobe Premiere user, but honestly, CapCut is just as fast as Final Cut Pro for me. Plus, the sheer amount of great templates for almost everything helps me focus more on the creative side of the video rather than the technical editing part.

i used to be a podcast editor, and i decided to challange myself with only using capcut for 1 video and my god it's a nightmare for a huge long project like podcast with 3 different camera perspective. but for short form which i sometime make for the clips, it's a godsend! especially the auto caption thingy, just need a little bit of adjustment and tweak a little bit and it saves a lot of time. and back then, capcut got a little bit of bug where when you speed up the video, the audio will go stay on original speed and go out of sync so you need to restart the app and it'll back to normal. oh and for some reason it sometime freezes on my pc for couple sec for no reason..
