When any higher official or politician visit the office the works will be done only then otherwise people come to office a lot and heart melts when we cant do anything for them😥😥. Exports under *chowkidaar chaiwala* have increased more than imports first time in our independent history.. What exactly was our *Harvard Economist* doing for two terms? And more importantly what were other Congress PMs doing for roughly 60 years of their rule? 🤔

@sharedplayaccount3 жыл бұрын
@jayadev jena Yes the exports have dropped due to Covid since 2020 and so have the imports. The drop in imports that u see is due to increase in domestic production and consumption where more and more indians buying locally produced products. This is the primary reason for the crossover. Reducing dependence on foreign goods should have been thought of earlier I don't understand why this wasn't done by earlier governments.

The increase in exports from 2004-2014 is the fruit of economic liberalisation of 1991. All of major IT companies, Vehicle Industries, Pharmaceutical Industries founded in late 90's started their exports from their on..

India's long term goals to decrease import dependence - Energy - India is aiming to move to nuclear energy with its 3 phase nuclear energy roadmap, also to other renewable energy sectors. Instead of petroleum India is moving towards EVs and ethanol, bio gases based vehicles etc. Defence equipment - India plans to increase defence production and gain critical defence rechnologies to fulfill it's needs as well as exports. Electronics - India is seriously working on becoming independent in electronics design, manufacturing and even exporting.
