Expose to the right for Perfect Exposure. Landscape Photography in Cornwall

In this video I'll show you the techniques that I use to get the correct exposure in my images while exploring beautiful Talland Bay in Cornwall.
When I first started in photography I really struggled to expose my images properly until I learnt about the Histogram and the technique of Exposing To The Right. Hope its of some help to you.

Thanks Guy. Hope it came across ok. I haven’t been to that area of Cornwall before. I was on a family holiday so didn’t have much time to explore but I’ll be back in a few weeks. You’ll have to let me know of some good places to visit. I always end up going to where the surf is good but I want to check out some other places😊👍.

Yes video came across very well.As to places down here that I like and are local to me Fowey river walk from Lerryn to St Winows but before the trees are in full leaf late afternoon for sunset best. Polridmouth beach between Fowey and Polkeris. If you are heading down land's end way then Botallack mines for sunset or Cape cornwall St just If big sea running. But my favourite local patch is Bodmin moor. A couple of places with out having to walk miles Minions with Hurlers stone circles old engine houses cheese wring tor but need to get there early as very popular also 1 mile down the road Sharp tor. Delford Bridge near St Brewards very photogenic or any of the tors with there amazing formations. Hope this gives you a few ideas but as your home county the places are here are endless. Do remember that most cameras show a jpeg histogram and this is not actually correct for a RAW file, my Fuji has a natural live view this is a much closer histogram.. Your camera is showing a jpeg

Cornwall is one of my favourite places (like it is for millions of course!). My wife and I got engaged there (at Tintagel), and honeymooned there (at Tintagel), and have taken our kids there many times. A wonderful place. And of course, I have many great photos captured there. Your video will be really helpful for many as most people use DSLRs etc these days of course. You've taken a lot of time and effort to educate here sir. Nicely done. I use an incident hand held meter when I need to so I dont have to rely on reflectance issues of inbuilt meters. More often than not, I Sunny 16 it in fact and the latitude of my films handle a stop up or under without any drama usually.
