Awesome. This is a really great trick. Sad that we can't do a blending in that way. But texture rotation sometimes more important. Thanks a lot.

If you want an idea for another uvmap video I think uvmapping objects with boolean modifiers could be useful!

So what are some of the real-world usage for the last UVW box mapping since it does not support blending?
@exposeacademy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bao. Mostly for floors, walls, ceilings, and box-liked furniture.

Thanks for that video. Just the UV-ing method is save and best, because it does also work on deformed mesh. I do an own UV Map for that and call it BOX, so its the same on all project files. However, I remember 3dsmax 1.0 1996: Apply UV modifier, set to Box.. job done. Oh man I used that modifier many times, then switched software and got that under the texture node.. now in Blender its pre 1996 again.

Aleyküm selam. I thought the video was about max, when I heart max word on the very beginning of the video, than research it on google and found same video. Nearly missed it, thank you... Very simple 3ds UV Box mapping modifier still doesn't exist for Blender that I couldn't understand!

Hi guys, is this still the only and up to date method of doing uv box projection in blender? I'm used to cinema4d where you can just drag and drop a material with box projection onto a whole collection. This seems to be very complicated in blender.

hi I am looking for a way to make this last 6 planar mapping by using nodes by seperating each face and applying vector scale or rotation nodes to control each 6 map seperately. Can u help me doing that or can u make a tutorial about it?
@jozseflaszlo74452 жыл бұрын
Hello, this is a great tutorial, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. In the external UV section. You show the node plugged in into -object. I would like to box project with nodes without having uvs for it. But if I plug in Object nothing happens. It's all white. and the setup is identical.

this should be on the front page of Blender ... all other videos are talking about uv unwrapping which is fine for organic models, but its way too excessive for putting together a box based level design where the world ratio of textures are most important
@vikaskumar-lr4cn4 жыл бұрын
Please make a tutorial in which tell about nodes like what is that node what that node does .
@dubtube669111 ай бұрын
and I thought Vray is complicated. Is there an update on this in Blender 4.0 ?
@efeozturk52532 жыл бұрын
None of them are as strong as max's uvw however... for example, if you scale the cube from one axis in last method, it'll create unwanted repetitions, in 3ds max, you can squash the cube to a plane and it will behave properly.

Hey, thanks for the tutorial. I'd like to use the last method, the projection mapping method, but I'd like to have 6 different images instead of just one. So one image that projects on to the top, another image that projects the side etc. In other programs, this is easily done with triplanar mapping but I can't seem to figure it out in Blender. Would you happen to know how to solve it? Thanks!

Sir, I want buy your Blender 2.8 Zero to hero lesson.. But I don't have any mastercard or visa card. Can I pay vy payonner.
@exposeacademy4 жыл бұрын
Hi brother Mahedi. Udemy provides different payment gateways in different countries. For example here in Indonesia, students can pay offline via corner stores network (almart/indomart) which is not available in other countries. I think you should consult directly with Udemy's support staffs about this matter. I hope you find the solution.

As I understand at 10:25 you don't know about Data Texture Space used by generated texture mapping docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/uv/uv_texture_spaces.html
