As someone from Central Texas, I'd like my state to have a Governor who could stand up to the N.R.A. & gun lobbyists, but sadly Governor Greg Abbott can't do that. Furthermore, I'd like to point out that our last 3 Governors were Greg Abbott, Rick Perry, & George W. Bush, whom have been the 3 Stooges of Republican state "leadership." Here's hoping that Beto O'Rourke wins the Governor's race against Abbott in November. And this is very likely given how close the margin between the 2 of them is with Abbott's approval rating continuing to fall after Uvaldi.

After their utter failure, they actually wanted to be portrayed as heroes. They were going to say if it wasn't for their actions, there would've been many more casualties. Beyond the morals of this, imagine the stupidity. The parents of those kids knew they weren't heroes and I'm sure they'd have let the media know it.
@TheNzFox
@TheNzFox 2 жыл бұрын
that's irrelevant though, the parents of the victims have been crying out for generations and telling us outright that the police narratives was wrong and yet they always get ignored. The cops wanted to be portrayed as heroes because without evidence that is exactly what would of happened, fox 'news' would of actively attacked anyone who tried to say they didn't do their jobs, we know this because that is what they did do until even they couldn't deny the facts coming out

I don't buy their "we thought we had him holed up in a classroom, and didn't know there were teachers and kids in there" story. Two kids called 911 from that classroom, and one of those interactions between the answering dispatcher and one of the officers (over their radio) is heard in the video released from inside the hallway. They were a bunch of cowards. 377 cowards and one BorTac who did *someone else's job.

I'm reminded, we had a shooting in Ottawa in 2014. A soldier Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, guarding the War Memorial was killed and the gunman made his way into our Parliament building. The Sgt at Arms (a largely ceremonial position), Kevin Vickers, got a 9mm from a locked box, engaged the shooter and killed him. That is what a cop should do. Protect AND serve. Vickers was a highly distinguished police officer before working at Parliament Hill. None of those 400 cops at Uvalde could hold a candle to one retired officer doing a ceremonial duty in Ottawa.

Of the 400 cops there was no one willing to risk their life until the 413th copper whoever that border patrol was that's finally showed up stood there and he even said you can stand here listening to the screams of these children or something to that effect and he goes, if this or something like that and starts walking in and his fellow officers are saying what are you doing wait, we need more backup or something to that effect and he ignores them and continues to walk in. @@drjswizzle8235 So, by your logic, all 400 officers that showed up at Uvalde's Robb Elementary need to all find new jobs? Like none of them at the scene were cut out for the job. Good assessment! Now, how do we find the good guys with guns? you forgot to answer that part.

@@drjswizzle8235 You might have thought I was being facetious, but I am genuinely asking where the hell do we find the good guys with guns? I am allowed to be angry at this failed system we have. Your side claims to have the answers, so please for the love of what ever god you pray to, save the f*^king kids and stop trying to prove a point about how the left is trying to destroy the country. I really do hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and don't get shot.

They heard the gunshots. They heard children screaming. Wtf did they think was going on? How could they stand there and listen to that? I feel there are not that many people who could do what they did. I don’t know anyone who could stand and listen to 19 children being murdered, and maintain such indifference. These guys have a piece missing from their hearts and minds.

Have you ever seen a SWAT or a crack house arrest at 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning? The cops aren't waiting for somebody to get a key, they have 27 different instruments to not only open the door or smash the door open or obliterate the door right off of all the changes, nobody's waiting for a key. They're not waiting for a key because at crack houses they know that most of those people are asleep and even if there's a weapons in there those crackheads are going to just lay down and at worst run so the cop has to use up some of his donut juices to catch them. But in this case nobody used any of those instruments because they were looking for yet another excuse to cower. The Rangers used to be an elite Force but now you can hear the average Texas Ranger huffing and puffing as leaves a donut shop and tries to fit into his squad car. And watch how easily they're intimidated unless they know you don't have a gun. In this case they knew the silent had a gun in they coward

but it wasn't an exaggeration it was about 400 local, state and federal 99% of them didn't go in. I was in the army my battalion size was around 1000 my brigade was around 5000 I would've went in immediately even without my body armour these cops didn't.

Inner city families have told people for years that the law just don’t care about what is happening to them but it has to affect “everyday people” before people start to care. Start caring about people that don’t look like you sometimes.

That's a very stupid response. The day after Uvalde, a nut with an AR opened fire on a crowded party venue in W.Va. According to police spokesman, head detective: a woman attending a party had concealed carry permit. He immediately charged, challenged, and killed the attacker and no one else was hurt. See the mall shooting where a guy with concealed carry permit also showed how stupid you and that dumb objection to allowing good civilians to be armed, really is. Cops are cowards, and they have no Constitutional duty to protect citizens.

"Law Enforcement" does not mean "Rescue" or "Sacrifice" or "Heroism." These guys (and gals) are not Navy SEAL teams or Army Rangers. They're weekend warriors (at best) and enjoy a career in a country that, for the most part, is perfectly safe. Being a cop is not even in the top 10 most dangerous careers. Lumber jack is #1, roofers and truck drivers are also in the top ten, and none of these pay as good as a LEO's salary (plus overtime). The daily job of a LEO is to penalize normal law abiding citizens in a system of taxation and intimidation. When there is real crime and real use of deadly force by non-LEOs, like most folks, LEO's run for cover. Even SWAT teams cower in the presence of a well armed, well barricaded gun man with an drum fed automatic AR-15.

In 1981, and again in 1989, SCOTUS held precedent that law enforcement was not legally required protect the public, nor intervene when witnessing a murder. The exception being, unless their is a "special relationship", eg a prisoner in custody. According to 'The 5th Column,' those children, under state law, are forced to attend school and take certain classes. Thus, Uvalde PD is liable not only for civil lawsuits, but criminal prosecution as well.

If Uvalde was a leafy, gated, country club community and the dead children had WASPish names, this would be a firestorm on the right. But the fact that most of these kids had Hispanic surnames simply draws a "meh" from R politicians.

One of the cops who was on his phone was getting messages from his wife, one of the teachers in the classrooms, that she had been shot and was dying. That cop asked permission to engage the shooter, asked for an assault, got detained, his firearm taken from him, and escorted out of the hallway. That's how badly this crisis was handled even internally, cops harming even each other, cop on cop inhumanity.

While i hate defending the cops there....they have no obligation to protect any citizen, therefore they cannot be sent to jail. Dont jump all over me, because they should go to prison, but legally, it cant happen. Best case, they can be fired. I do agree that they acted as cowards. There were a few saying things like "we have to get in there, kids are being killed", but not just doing it, and dealing with being chewed out later still makes them cowards. I spent a good portion of the day watching body cams, and as a former PMC in Afghanistan, was absolutely sickened. Keek has no reason to say the whole "if it was an unarmed black guy, cops would have been surging in." Saying nonsensical things like this is not only false, but its irresponsible. As far as john goes....an ar15 is nothing special...it doesnt fire faster than any other semiautomatic rifle, pistol, shotgun, or even a revolver. Cops were also there when this piece of sh#t showed up at the school, and should have immediately followed him in, and terminated him before he could harm any innocents.
