It is a little odd to not get an illustration card though... I just got some etbs from a big box store and one of em only had a jynx and a charizard ex too. The other had an illustration omanyte and a blastoise ex... Before that I got two other etbs from a local card place that had an illustration ivysaur in each. Idk sometimes the etbs just dont be hitting... but also people can prolly make decent money removing the valuable cards and reselling. Especially if they could reseal convincingly. Who knows though.

Yeah in the end I think it's still a mystery. The funky way the packs were sealed is what really had us wondering. But some people in the comments said they've had similar packs from big box stores. I just know this was the only time we've ever opened packs that looked possibly tampered with.

I bought two ETB’s off of Amazon, and the packs were sealed the exact same way. I’m very upset too. Is there anything we can do about it?

I'm not sure if there is anything you can do. There are a lot of people in the comments saying these were just horribly packaged by the Pokemon company. Unfortunately there's no good way to know. Hopefully they are right and these are just error packs but I'm just not sure.

My brother and I bought one each from my local card shop. My box was normal and my brothers had one less pack and one of his hits was a tyranitar ex from obsidian flames…. Yes obsidian flames. Don’t really know what to do but just take the L.

Wow that's crazy. I Jane heard of people finding the wrong cards in packs before. Sometimes people pull cards from sets that haven't even released yet. But I know the missing pack really hurts!

I mean something is wrong with these packs. Now whether they are resealed or not is a different question. There's a problem either with the production line or something more concerning. But we've laid it out there and everyone can have there opinion and I appreciate you sharing yours with us!

The pulls in this video alone would not be a good indicator of a resealed product. Most likely any resealer would be looking for the chase cards and not ex Cards which are not very valuable. There were no cards of value in this box so it's hard to determine if there ever where or if the pulls were tampered with. In fact the Charizard cards that were pulled in this box lean more toward a likelihood of being resealed because duplicate ex pulls within the same box is an astonishing statistical anomaly and is just as likely the real hit was replaced. I can't prove it was resealed or not. But a Charizard is not any indication. Appreciate the comment and I hope my response was informative and respectful!
