A Dying Industry in a Changing World | Trapped In the Past Part 3

In partnership with The Fur-Bearers, we are pleased to present Part Three of the Trapped in the Past documentary series! The final episode "A Dying Industry in a Changing World" explores the common arguments that are used to support trapping and discusses whether these arguments are valid or not in modern-day society and, finally, answers the question: where do we go from here?
Trapped in the Past exposes Canada's cruel, archaic, unethical and unnecessary commercial trapping industry with current science, hard-hitting research and dynamic interviews with some of the world's leading experts on trapping, including trappers and wildlife biologists such as Gilbert Proulx and Carter Niemeyer. Our goal with the Trapped In the Past series is to equip you with the information you need to speak out on behalf of Canada's fur-bearers like wolves, beavers, lynx and foxes to enable a comprehensive trapping reform that includes a ban on snares across the country.

Ban trapping, ban hounding, ban trophy hunting and ban fur worldwide. The only hunting allowed should be ethical non-surplus hunting for food only. Evolve already.

Trapping doesn't make sense anywhere lower than the 63rd parallel and outside of any settlements. Up there you're probably living off-civilization and your only source of food is that of a hunter-gatherer.

@@ricknash3055 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! agreed, hunting should only be done out of pure necessity as a food source and means of survival. No part of the animal should be wasted. In this area, that would appear to be the case.
