Thanks for pointing out! I am sharing this video with those I know in the industry. Hopefully this tip may help some of you. Put a unique colored, single use zip tie around the fuse box. If someone accesses the box, the zip tie must be cut first. If you find the zip tie missing when you open your hood, then you know what to check first. Make sure to keep extra zip ties with you, in case you need to legitimately access the box and reseal it.

I've been in the truck and industry as a company driver, and an independent driver. Drivers have been scammed ever since I've been in this industry. And most of the scams actually come from the Carrier you're working for, especially if you are an Owner Operator. So there's nothing new here other than that item that is referring to. And I'm kind of puzzle that you cannot replace an item on a truck which is that critical. That is actually illegal and against the law. The Manufacturers can be held liable. I see a Class Action lawsuit in the future.
@californiadreaming92162 жыл бұрын
dan hi thanks for your comment. I am no fan of FL, sickened with being gouged over the years. But to be fair, regarding lack of CPCs - no judge is going to find FL liable if they are unable to buy CPCs from electronics manufacturers whose production either slowed to a trickle or completely stopped during covid. FL does not manufacture their own CPCs, they are outsourced (possibly Bosch).

The important thing to know there are now a couple places around the country that are rebuilding CPCs. 2700-4000. Depending who going through and turn around time has been 2-4 weeks. Avielectronics is one company we use. Have been very well. People are stealing these left and right. Also the reman ones are trash stay away from them. Freightliner is currently not shipping remans due to them being trash. This is a part that goes out in the truck. Unfortunately it is fairly common. Keep eyes on your trucks.
