Yea! Absolutly flooding the market and creating a service support nightmare for themself. They should remake their lineup. 1. CorexY printers. Maybe 4-5 different sizes. Mini, origin, Max, Mega, Ultra. Then iterate them with a number Like "Creality K1 MAX" , next iteration: "Creality K2 MAX" and keep it simple like that. Make sure to have all the models ready and release them for next iteration. 2. Bedslingers. 5-7 Different sizes. Ender 4 mini, Ender 4 origin, Ender 4 Max etc. Going from 220x220 to maybe 500x500. 3. One arm. Maybe a 150x150 and a 180x180. This would be easyer to understand. Right now they have so many versions, CR models, Ender 3 (like how many years ago did they launch the ender 3? just making versions on version... calling them NEO, v2, v1, Max, MAX neo, S1? S1 pro... on top of that the CR-series with versions etc. Right now if you are looking for a 300x300 or 225x225 (roughly) then you have like 4-5 models with almost the same spec. Ender 3 v2 neo, s1, CR. And there are multiple versions with slight changes to all of them. They are making costumer spend longer time choosing the right model, and also theyre costumer support probably having a nightmare. Not to say theyre production line must be running slower with all the different models. Then we soon have the fight for multicolor printers really starting, maybe with different techniqes coming to the market. Bambu lab have made it super simple with an AMS unit and thats it for now. One product, but they dont have alot of legacy models to think about. For Creality this could make it even more messy if they keep attaching it on different models, overlapping etc. You are absolutly right. They are not only overflooding the market, they are overflooding themself. All the extra firmware they have to debug, upload and different motherboards, motors. It must be a nightmare for the employees to actually create quility products with all these models floating around and getting pushed to the market all the time. They are also missing the point why we choose creality to begin with. They have never had the best reputation for good support, or quility. Even if it has improved, when they launched the K1, where they had an extremly polished competition with Bambulab, they launched a product that was flawed in some ways. There was some cable problems with the bowden cable, the AI-sensor probably did not do anything from what I have seen and heared, and the hotend was flawed and the app was filled with advertisments. Sure they fixed some of that... but even theyre latest flagship product are still proving that theyre are not on top of the quility level that makes them hazzle free. The reason why we choose Creality was instead the price. But if they are making so many different products they must be getting to a point where the production and support costs are eating the margins. I see this in bedslingers, where there are alot more alternatives that are priced better. With klipper, and latest improvments to the hardware and software. Becouse other companies focus on a couple of products instead of 100. If they keep going they will need to launch a spreadsheet for the costumer who want to choose the right printer from them XD.

This is an incredibly thoughtful comment. Thank you!! I probably cant reply to it all, but I absolutely agree with you in every case! Customers are getting to the point where they will be overwhelmed with options that they might just go elsewhere. I am perfectly fine with them have 2 or 3 options of similar size and compatibility, but when it is to the point where they are now where the CR lineup is blending with the ender line up it is just going to confuse people. I cant imagine being a new customer thrown into the sea and told to find the best product for your needs and budget. I have never had the need for customer support, but I have heard it is bad. I will just go with that because I havent experienced first hand. If it is bad...fewer models would certainly make it easier to get answers back to people. What about the production line? Yeah you're totally right. More models means more issues with production. Not only will it slow down, but it will also mean that the workers are not well versed in production of every model, so there will be more flaws in regard to pre-assembled components. More models is more versions of firmware. Even if it is the same similar firmware, it is going to be slightly tweaked...even if it is as basic as moving the bl touch from one location to another....all the small stuff adds up. It all does come together as a nightmare for them. And dont get me wrong, I actually really love creality products and I think they have a place in the market, but I think they are making it harder on themselves and their customers by releasing so much. If they are ok with the quality of the products they're releasing, then it doesnt matter because they are aware of their flaws. I personally see creality as more of a midtier product, so I expect there to be some issues. To me....you buy a cheap car and it vibrates as you drive down the road....it just gonna happen. Same with creality. You are buying a mostly good product, not a fully flushed out PERFECT product.

I bought the CR-10 SE as my first printer because the price difference between it and k1 was around 220USD here, and V3 KE is arriving only in February. Pretty satisfied with it so far

Great vid, yeah, I don't understand why you would buy the CR10 when you can get the k1. Very confusing. Maybe they are trying to flood the market like you said, and some people might feel less intimidated by the 'smaller looking printer' than the larger one. Would make way more sense if the cr10 was 100-200 dollars cheaper instead, but at some point the profit margin gets too little to justify even making it then. Then the question comes if they are willing to discontinue a whole product line or not, if it's too expensive to manufacture, I guess time will tell.
@ThePrintHouse Жыл бұрын
It's possible that the perceived simplicity and compactness of the CR10 might appeal to beginners or those looking for a less intimidating introduction to 3D printing, but I think the K1 would be a better option for a beginner anyway haha, so it's kind of a double edged sword. The point about the profit margin is spot on - striking a balance between affordability and profitability is always a challenge which is why I think this might be a ploy to flood the market. Like you said, only time will tell, but it already seems like theyre destroying the cr10 by making it so similar to the ender 3, and theyre definitely not getting rid of the ender lineup, so the cr might go away soon.

@@ThePrintHouse I bought mine 2 weeks ago, at first I was enthusiastic about the simplicity and speed of printing, then I started printing the pieces where a little precision is required, not much, and I discovered that it has an error of 0.4mm on the axis X relative to Y axis, then I tried to print 1 test layer there is no consistency in the result. then I printed a circle and I always detected an error of 0.4 mm along the X axis that I couldn't fix pulling the straps, on the various groups and forums I discovered that many have the same problem

@@VictorKalman Jeeze thats crazy. One thing to check is the extruder. If your extruder does not have a white spring operated button where you plug the bowden tube into, then you have the wrong extruder. The one it ships with has a black release button that uses a pressure clip.

When you say screws do you mean the z axis? And yeah this machine is definitely NEW. I am not denying that, but it feels creality is pulling away from the CR brand with this one. I have many, but the last, a BRAND NEW Ender 3 s1 Pro melted bed & printer guide plate after printing ABS for 5weeks 24/7 w 100C plate and 250C nozzle printing VORON parts, they stopped responding. Even though I had damn near a full year of warranty left. I will never support them again, and that is when the price was nearly $500.00.@@ThePrintHouse
