@@s1nglebullet787 geologist here. yeah, 5 km is really stupidly deep. every cavity will just shut down in hours/seconds without reinforcements with the best rocks. also, at a normal lithostatic temperature gradient, it would mean a temperature of 75°C to 150°C. 12 km is the record, and it is possibly impossible to go deeper because you are reaching the ductile zone, so every hole that you try to drill will be more like draining a flooding basement more than drilling. and the rock will try to wrap itself around the drill. the engineering of keeping the cavity call enough to allow the drill to work is painful enough.

I don't think you've been properly caving before. If you're actually potholing, progress is *slow* . I also, don't think they're joking when they said filming slowed them down, because caves are *very* dark. To get some of those shots they probably required some heavy-duty lighting that would have taken time to set up and take down; and each time they did that it would have wrecked their night vision which would have slowed them down as well. Also, I don't know if you missed it, but it didn't take them 5 days. It took them one day to go there and back (i.e. 10 km), if they did what they claimed (although it's possible they actually went out the tourist exit, so they only went 5 km).

@@SuperRedNovaDragon Yeah I've talked to someone who's been to that cave in the comments. What they are referring to is a walk-in route for tourists, which is wildly different from the proper potholing that's been portrayed in this video. One of the people who mentioned it though, said the scenes shown in the video are next to the tourist walk-in route along the whole way, so they could hop in and out of the tourist route to film their video clips. If they actually did that, yes they could get it done rather quickly (although still non 45 minutes as they would have to go back and forth on top of setting up cameras and such). If they've actually done what's portrayed in the video though; the time they took sounds about right.

They announce that they're 10% of the way through a 5.5km cave but there's only 2km left 21:00 Nothing happened on Day 2 or Day 4, they spent 3 days in the cave, max... The idea of the cave is to make it to the end AND BACK in a day.... 3 days is more than enough to do this... It's crazy how realistic and similar to the cave the set for the toy advertisement was. Almost like they built the entire cave set (for the video), then brought in a fake looking rock to show off all the toys (because it's too obvious they wouldn't bring the toys into the cave, nor the giant water tube) .... It's so wierd.... admitting the advertisement was fake throws everyone off of the idea that the cave itself was fake. We actually saw VERY LITTLE video of the MASSIVE cave they went through. Why didn't we get a sped up video of the entire cave trip? Just chopped up video with no context beyond the lies of the narrator. Also, for all the buildup, the PAYOFF was WEAK. We got a couple short clips of the glowworm part of the cave then it was over.
@IamGrimalkin2 ай бұрын
They couldn't have got a sped-up video of a cave trip because caves are very dark and you wouldn't see anything. The shots you see were probably done after them setting lighting up for that segment.

@@blackpanther3912 When you go actual caving you use diffuse dim lights that prevent you losing your night vision, which would not let you get the shots you see in this video. I'll be honest, when watching this I was left with the feeling that far too much was added in post and far too much was left on the cutting room floor. Its really hard to enjoy Jimothy Breast content when all of them feel like they're just acting for the camera. All talent feels the same because they're not their own people, their fed lines. The survival expert was my favourite person in the video because he seemed the most real. He didn't actually get that much screentime though, probably because Mr Beast didn't really like him.
