I could be partially wrong with what I am about to say. With all due respect to the female athletes you have mentioned, I think Simon was the perfect choice for this. Because it is the french rooftops, and they are slippery as hell. Simon and Yoann could sleepwalk on them. And this commercial is not new. Hazal has gone rooftopping very recently, and she is still building her confidence I guess. I know she did "6 Underground", but she had company. It is not the same when you are the only stunt person on the set. And the other athletes are more or less on the same level mentally imo. I am only saying this because I am yet to see some continuous, confident, rooftop parkour by female practitioners.

Tanmay Shekhawat I just had a little look. I found footage of katie and luci running on roofs, doing small gaps on roofs, and taking decent drops from about 8 years ago. (I think the commercial is 5 years old). Potentially they weren’t ready for any distances hazal can do now, but for sure they would have been comfortable on edges, running up high, and doing most of what’s in here. And it makes me think if they were present back then, surely other women and stunt women were too. They could have pulled off so much more and made some things way cleaner and real at the very least. Like some clips are literally just simone’s back or side doing extremely simple running or walking or tiny gaps, which looking at it again it’s kind of obvious. If the issue was they wanted french people, surely french stunt women existed. They could have hired one of them along with simone as a guide or stunt choreographer or something. Just yeah, a lot more thought could have been put in in so many ways.

@genghis53814 жыл бұрын
@@austindial6613 I think that if you roll forward your momentum isn't all in the impact to the ground because you direct it forward with the roll, both keeping some momentum and reducing the impact to your ankles and legs.
