While I also grew my channel with shorts, I started to upload low effort minecraft videos as a joke just to see If I could get youtube rank since I saw videos that even people who subbotted got it so I thought I just give it a try and see if I can get it. When I finally hit 100k subs I applied a few days later expecting that I would get denied because I grew with non minecraft related content but that was actually not the case, they denied me because "Unfortunately however, at present your channel does not appear to meet our minimum requirements for this program and, as such, we are unable to consider your application at this time. At this time, your channel is missing Hypixel/Minecraft content on a regular basis." So technically, I may be able to re-apply in the future If I keep uploading minecraft videos but I'm not going to because at the end of the day it's just another rank which won't really affect my gameplay that much, was still interesting to see the response I got though.

I think that a lot of this could have been avoided if hypixel was just more clear about their rules, for example years ago Skeppy got accountshared by Techno for a bedwars game yet wasent banned and Tommy did a similar thing, obviously the KZbinrs who used unfair/disallowed modifications should be punished but some of these are KZbin rank removals are easily avoidable. Also this was a pretty good video icl

Back in 2019 there was a Brazilian fortnite KZbinr (who only made scam content to make money from gullible kids) who was abusing his KZbin rank to get free stuff in skyblock. I saw him in an end lobby and asked him about why he was doing that, but instead of answering me he just insulted me a bunch in Portuguese. Then I sent the chat messages to support and his rank was removed shortly after >:)
