Still can’t wrap my head around how Taylor was labeled an obsessive ex for writing Dear John meanwhile John Mayer got away with so much. Especially after last year Taylor released “would’ve could’ve should’ve” exposing how traumatic her relationship with him truly was and how she still struggles with the psychological aftermath. And she was blamed. Insanity.

omg.... so is this John???? (sorry, not a swiftie, but I like many of her more recent songs) That explains so much. But you know.... men always get away with murder and women are the "crazy ones". Especially Taylor who has suffered from this form of misoginy since FOREVER. She is always the "crazy", the "conflictive" one, the "b!tch" and so on. I'm happy that slowly we are moving away from this misoginy of ALWAYS blaming the woman on the relationship while guys are as$holes without consequences

So he was too young to date Jennifer who was 8 years older than him, but Taylor wasn't too young for him who was 11 years younger than him? Interesting? We know damn well all of his relationships overlapped. He we would break up with one and go back to the other and on and on the cycle goes. But no, he sees himself of being an honorable guy because he never technically cheated. Also he once bragged on a radio interview that he hooked up with more than 500 women. But later said he was joking. I wonder why he backtracked on that "500 women" claim? What a charmer. I never understood the appeal with this guy.

@dieterdelange9488 Жыл бұрын
@@Astrapricity2 I see. I've always wondered about that, because at some point there was a debate amongst fans about who was the guy she gave her "girlhood" to (either John or Jake [the "Red Scarf" from ATW]). At the end of it all, it's only for her and the man to know. She's in a good place now in her career and personal life and Jake's also doing fine. I don't think she holds any grudges against him. Plus, I can't deny it: he's aged into a very attractive man.... =) The funny thing is that to this day I don't know a single one of John's songs. I'm not even sure if he still makes music. I don't really believe in karma, but his now being a flop sure is a form of justice. XD
@Astrapricity2 Жыл бұрын
@@dieterdelange9488 Yeah!! We know All Too Well is about Jake because of the whole scarf incident where he was seen in public wearing her scarf and then also since Taylor mentions being “21” in the song (the age she was at the time of dating Jake.) And while it sounds like her and Jake were much more serious and Taylor may have actually given it to him, John really tore at her heart and soul more. Based on those songs she wrote at the time of being 19 and how she feels like her innocence was taken away from her. It probably has to do with how disgustingly he used her and then talks about women he dates. Someone put it in a way that made a lot of sense to me: “Jake was bad at the relationship, John is just a bad person” and after all the things he’s said and all the women’s experiences, I absolutely can agree and see that. I know I’m going off I just have learned these random things along the way of being a Swiftie 😂 I honestly just enjoy seeing where the art/inspiration comes from and the meanings of her work :) It just feels even more relatable!! And before anyone else says it, yes Taylor is actually on really good terms with some of her ex’s! She’s really close friends with Joe Jonas and his wife, Harry Styles, still gets along well with Taylor Lautner (him and his wife even are going to see her on tour), and her and Tom Hiddleston seemed to have ended on good terms since he still follows her. Just adding this stuff because many people like to jump to thinking SHE is this toxic crazy serial dater person lol

Men who are manipulative are usually controlling and they usually do it because they are SUPER insecure and have low self esteem. He clearly cant connect with women emotionally because he has the emotional depth of a kitty pool and thats why he goes through women like underwear, he dumps them before they find out he’s as interesting as a stool. And as for saying terrible things about these women is clearly just him projecting what he thinks about himself. Smh John your very sad.

I am a huge fan of the Grateful Dead (thanks to my parents) and when John Mayer joined Dead & Company, I recall everyone being so pissed off that he would be lead vocals / guitar for the remaining Dead members. (Minus Phil). Anyways, it’s been several years and now dead fans respect his vocals, guitar skills and showmanship and actually enjoy seeing him play. He is a great artist but person…not so much.

Even if vulgar and/or objectifying, “sexual napalm” was meant as a mind blown swooning compliment for JS.
@Mistyfaery10 ай бұрын
It is a compliment, but that's absolutely not something you disclose publicly about a lover, current or ex. It's extremely disrespectful in general, but especially to someone like Jessica Simpson who he knew damn well is more reserved and religious. So was it a compliment, yes. Was it exploitative? Also yes and that latter over takes the former.
