Was walking on one of the islands of the Galapagos, and saw many pieces of trash that had washed up on the shore. Our guide then said to look closely at the sand. Picked up a handful and saw micro pieces of plastic and small pieces of styrofoam. What have we done? We do not deserve this beautiful earth!

Oh my gosh! Give it a rest! After the last four years most of us can’t even afford groceries let alone be worried about a problem that has been going on since before our PARENTS were born! Let us catch our breath before you start beating us over the head again about the freaking environment! Geez! Talk to Oprah or Taylor Swift!

YOU give it a rest. Keep your head in the sand and that'll be your gravesite. And your not so subtle mention of the last four years being so hard as if politics has anything to do with your personal success not to mention your groceries is absurdly ignorant. It simply is. Accept it or not, pollution in our oceans and waterways in general is a very big problem that if not seriously and sustainably fixed will likely be the single biggest threat to the ecosystem itself. Should it have been dealt with decades ago? Absolutely, without question. Yet here we are. No one is "beating" anyone "over the head" about "the freaking environment" as you put it, you might FEEL that way because you aren't able to process the reality of the situation and so you dramatize your experience as a victim of the messenger's educational content. You are, as the famous saying goes, "shooting the messenger" because you don't like the message. But I'm also curious... why even leave the comment that you did?
