I was invited to a private party by a well known company, I decided I wanted to go and that was a huge step for me because I’m really introverted but I was open to making new friends because I thought it would be people in my niche. When I got there everyone already had a clique and I just thought “whatever, I’m just going to do what I normally do” which is film the showroom like I do my home, come to find out there weren’t many influencers there that were actually into interior design they were primarily travel and fashion influencers and I thought you know that makes sense because the designer only talked to those she knew and the vibe I got was that everyone was there just to say they got invited, even though I am one myself there is a certain attitude about influencers that I certainly don’t care for when in comes to in-person meet ups, at least for this company, it was much like being in a high school environment… If you don’t know anyone, you have to know how to stand on your own and be confident with who you are despite the energy of the room! ❤
