There are also workshops/syndicates using COE ending car to play the role of the 'accident causing' cars.. they very skilled. They can make the accident look like it really happened as a real accident.

here's your guide, applies in Malaysia and SG: 1. keep you insurer's number saved in your phone and stuck on your dashboard. as soon as an accidnet happens, call your insurer to tow. 2. actually that's all you need to do.

This is another educative video by the Mothership. More of these, please! The accident repair bills in Singapore are inflated, even if there is no floater involved. It seems it is rather the case them teaching the regular workshops how to squeeze out more. Once they hear the word accident, their eyes start glowing.

I was once almost a victim of such a scam as the driver at fault. The accident was due to an abrupt lane change of a 3rd party vehicle that resulting in my vehicle rear ending an old age driver. Thankfully no injuries was caused. When we all got out of our vehicles, it was less than 5 mins that 2 different group of these runners appear out of no where and start soliciting the old man and his jumpy daughter ( passenger in the car I hit) . The daughter was so close to giving in to the runners as she thinks it’s the easiest way out. Thankfully after much convincing, she decide to call her husband who arrived at scene and de-escalated the situation. In short, he asked all parties who are not involved to “FO”. I ended up paying for replacement rental car and repair cost done by my own workshop. I couldn’t have asked for anything more given the situation. This video should have more likes and shares for more awareness.

I was involved in one. Accidentally hit the back bumper of a front car who suddenly jam break. The driver a PRC went out to check his car and he seems fine and okay. He said the car is a rental car and will inform the company. The next few days I received a letter from my insurance stating that the other party is claiming $22k plus for the damages. Walao all sort of things include medical claim, work claim, pay claim, damage claim blah balh claim.

Standard pain will only occurs after the accident or next morning when you wake up. U kena bang then pain dw see doc, then after that anything major how? You n your family is going to suffers cos you wan to be champion “nvm la, abit pain only” Lol. Of cos if jus 1 small scratch then u can get yr insurance to investigate.

how do you know govt dont want them to exist? as long as govt can eat tax, be it insurance or a bizness, then pretty sure its legal already. even money lending at high interest already got legalized. pretty sure ppl at the top aint idiots and have their own intelligence group. sure maybe not as good as FBI or whatever CIA. but underestimating CID is a big mistake tho. they work for them anyway. modern slavery with corrupted system. later few years after people forget about these incidents, then later this guy who spoke to mothership "disappear" due to unnatural incident liao.

More than what was described, the workshop will say brackets behind bumpers are broken, even bumper not broken. If the dent is on the door, the workshop will say change door, spray paint whole car with special coating like before and do body alignment, change door hinge..etc. An $800 job can be quoted to $8,000…. My personal experience.

4:40 tells you how to guard yourself against such scams. This stuff happening for long time i heard many years already. 6:17. Dont take pictures, always go to video mode. And start filming everything to safeguard yourself. Also tell them you are annoyed that they are soliciting their business to you. If they carry on, then its an offence already.

Only scum of the earth would try and take advantage of people when they are most vulnerable. Had two pairs of young men approach me at the shoulder of AYE while I was waiting for the tow truck after a rear ending incident. Having grown up overseas initially I really thought they were just being nice … until they started asking for this and that info. Immediately rolled up the window and told them to piss off. These people will get their karma one day and it won’t be long. Keep calm and stay safe everyone and thanks Mothership for the Video!

In many countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia if the traffic police come across the accident scene before the runners they will call the ' insurance claim workshop people' so that to earn an one time commission regardless what the claim amount is( of course police can't earn this type of money)but once the car been towed to the workshop, most of the cases(not all, only serious accident) the workshop will try to claim more, that is why only 2 insurance companies( listed) earn money out of 20. Same thing happen to medical insurance, hospital always charge more and do unnecessary test and expenses to ward patient as far as the patient has a medical insurance as they think the patient is granted by the insurance company and they can do what they want by using the reason of saving and caring the live of the patient. So the premium for medical insurance will increase in every 2 to 3 years time no matter the insurers have or never claimed before. Conclusion is, consumers are loser as by the end consumers have to pay an incresingly higher and higher premium(medical insurance)( motor insurance depends on personal performance).

These guys have been causing accidents since before time began. I was in this exact situation. Even before I had time to remove my seatbelt get out of my car, two of them were already walking towards my car from the front.. how the hell do they get there so quickly if they didn’t cause the accident in the first place. There’s no way they just happened to be driving by because it seems to be happening way too often.. honestly I would rather bring my car to my own workshop even though I know that they will over claim also than leave it with these dodgy people

I had a few similar encounters with these "specialists" and I learned with hard experience, that it is good to stay calm, switch on you mobile video facing them before you start shouting hysterically. It works, they quickly back off

Just say , the tow truck is on the way and you are going to the nearest police station ,end of story. But it would be different if you are in malaysia.

"You're like a fish that is hooked" Doesn't the law have provisions for the right owner to take the vehicle out at his liberty? On the other side of the straits, I have no problem with whatever sh!tshow they put up. As long as I'm the rightful owner, I'd just waltz in, request for the keys and drive off. If they refuse... well they'll find themselves afoul with the law. Basically unauthorised possession of moveable property which would make any workshop owner start losing hairs.

In America is same thing but it's tow truck drivers instead hanging around accident scenes looking for a tow to the dodgiest workshop ever and the tow company get referral fee. In an accident get the other drivers details call Insurance and have insurance organise a tow to a workshop partnered with insurance.

I agree. I have let them settled my claims before. Turn out to be honest people. All my parts is replaced original parts from Honda. If they are doing something really dark, they should long been caught by the police.

They have assisted me as well, extremely satisfied during my 2nd accident repairs, I got all new original parts. Unlike my first accident done by authorised workshop, which sadly when asked for new part replacement, I was met with, "sorry insurance say cannot change, fix back only".... lackeys of the insurance companies to save money for them imo.

我也遇过这骗子，前面车紧急杀车，我的车只是非常轻的碰撞，我的车也没凹，前方也没凹，就来了两台车，上了前面的车，之后说不关我的事，之后要了我的保险1万1千新元，最生气报警后警方也不了了之，这些人比部长好赚，1天1宗，30天30万元进账，KZbin有这么多人投诉，警方也不要捉拿归案，很失望，好像警察对这些人没办法。

Was involved in an accident at PIE last year. 2 cars came from no where saying they cud help me settle. Told them straight to their face gtfo as im not in a mood to talk to all them at once. They look at each other and went to the other party that hit my car instead. My anger save my money i guess.

If accident happened just exchange particular take photos then make a police report , the rest claim insurance that's all the procedure , don't have to go workshop on the spot kaisu so much 😆🤭😆👍👍👍👍👍

I never approve of 3rd party services. If you own a reputable brand or what not, always repair it at the direct company, not 3rd party. Whether its an iphone samsung or you drive a Mercedes. Always go direct.
