Yes we can discriminate against ourselves but in the case you mentioned it's not even about ourselves it's about 4c hair and not all Black people have 4c hair so you can absolutely have 3c hair and discriminate against people who have 4c hair because for you it does not concern you. I have never seen that, but I found it extremely crazy that hairstylist that claim to be able to care for Black natural hair could do that. So they want to care for all Black natural hair but exclude the only hair type only found on this planet on Black people's head... the hair type that is the most common on Black people's head. I even wonder if it's legal...can someone sue those stylists and win....probably yes. People can have long or short 4c hair, thick or thin 4c hair, easy or difficult 4c hair (easy to detangle, easy to blow dry...). Short thin 4c hair requires way less work than butt length 2c thick frizzy hair. So that statement was clearly discriminatory not even on the effort the stylist may have to put in styling the hair. If I had 3A hair I would not even trust that stylist to touch my hair..

Yea it’s unfortunate, progress has been made, but there’s still a lot of work to be done!
