Expressio unius est exclusio alterius, Interpretation of statutes, secondary rule
Hi friends,
Expressio unius est exclusio alterius is a Latin maxim which implies express mention of one thing excludes all other things’.Whenever something is added in the statute it is added with the due consciousness. Assumes that the legislature intentionally specified one set of criteria as opposed to the other.
I have included various case laws and examples to bring clarity about our topic. I have also included examples to illustrate it's application compared to Harmonious construction and also territorial nexus. This would not only be helpful for exams but definitely remove all ur confusions.
You can watch the video again and the text may also work as ur notes.
My mission is to make law simple and Interesting.
