In 2 weeks it will be our 39th anniversary. How time flies! Love and hugs to you, Thanks again for everything you do.

1. Thank you for always caring about us. 2. Beautiful patterns combined with beautiful yarn. The color transitions on the shawl are wonderful 3. I love granny squares, but I really appreciate stitches that prove they are not all there is to crochet! 4. Just thinking of Mom, I don't feel alone, though she passed several years ago. 5. I live in the heart of a city, but the group that gathers on the corner for a cuppa in the morning feels more like a small town community. 6. From my local LYS staff to podcasters and Rav friends I've never met in person, the yarncraft and other crafty communities are always there for a quick chat.

We moved after living in one part of the US for 40 yrs to another in order to be around family we’d only see once or twice a year. Even though we left many loved ones, the chance to be near other loved ones, and share in joys and sorrows with them has been a beautiful reminder that I am not alone, regardless of where I am. Thank you to the designer of the pattern and to you for offering this and the chance to win yarn.

I’d have to say my aunt. I lost my son in 2002, my husband in 2010, My grandmother in 2011, my father in Dec 2011 and my mother in May 2012. I have a sister who is completely wrapped up in her life and very secretive, private. But my aunt, who has 5 children is the one person who is always there for me and shows me I’m not alone. We talk nightly on the phone, get together for dinner twice a month, have taken trips together, she is and has always has been very supportive and kind. So, despite being in her 70s and being a very busy person she is never to busy. Therefore, I will be making her a scarf with this stitch and yarn. Thank you for inspiring me to pick up my hook and yarn again with your patterns and calming voice.

My friend Judi is 83 (nearly double my age) and has been a godsend for the past six years. We both lost brothers to cancer but we’ve been able to support each other through the worst of our grief. My friends have gotten married and had kids and her friends have either passed away or moved away so there’s been a symmetry to this season of our lives. Despite that Judi is a joy to be around and has a silly sense of humor that complements my own. She’s kind and still curious about people and the world in a way that is so refreshing. I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without her. 💜

It's a good time to remember our connections in the world. I owe so much to my Zoom crew that formed in lockdown. Some of us were dear friends individually, but most of our direct connections were more along the lines of "Yeah, they're cool, they were in grad school with me/my partner." Now we practically forget that we haven't all been playing tabletop games together for decades.
