Catherine Trottmann, si vous la regardez vous êtes séduit. Si vous croisez son regard vous n'êtes pas transformé en statue de sel mais vous êtes fondu. Si vous l'écoutez et regardez quand même ses jeux de scène, parce que c'est plus fort que vous, vous voudriez que cela ne s'arrête pas. Admirateur inconditionnel et affectueux (j'ai 74 ans) ? Bien d'accord avec toi JP. J'ai le même âge et les même iniales:JP; même génération, même goûts. Catherine Trottmann c'est une sirène qui nous attire dans ses rêts. Mais je me laisserai faire sans résister rien que pour le bonheur d'être envouté par sa voix pure et sensuelle.

I first listened to this Mozart's wonderful piece in the lates 80's here in Rio - Brazil, when going to a record shop which manager loved classic music and he was listening to it as there were no other costumers that would prefer any pop music to buy. And the voice was of soprano Emma Kirkby that seduce then. And now, sailing on web I'm glad to find these perfect singer and orchestra seducing me again with this piece I guess Mozart composed at his 13 y.o. Since then, all those musicians and singers who got anyway involved with this beautiful song are real angels came from Heaven to show us how beautiful life may be!..

Pervy Mozart would have been beguiled watching the divine curves for a while, while getting a hard-on, his mind numbed and forgetting about Music . Then he would have found Christine singing kind of unconventional, weird for the 18th Century, but somewhat pleasant and sonorous.

@@SStone-dm7es :: Same notes, yes, but there must be differences in timing, in the use of vibrato, in selection of tesituras. It is well known of differences of today´s Opera with respect to the ones of 1920 for example; there are recorded voices that show that difference. I guess Opera voices of 250 years ago must be even more different.

@@powerdriller4124 the notes, for example C,D,E etc will always sound the same in relation to each other. Interpretation may change a little - as well as the difference between each singers God-given vocal cords. So really I can’t see Mozart being either surprised, shocked or upset with this lady’s interpretation. The five keyed clarinet of Mozart’s time is very different to the modern clarinet today but the sound was, apart from the power, essentially a clarinet sound. This lady is essentially a soprano sound and she is singing the notes Mozart penned. Her appearance may well have been enough to ‘excite’ the young man or boy as he was 14 when he composed the work, but he definitely would have been IMO impressed with her interpretation.

J'ai une question : pourquoi un enregistrement avec des instruments baroques pour une œuvre de Mozart ? Malheureusement, la soprano n'échappe pas à son genre de chanteuse d'opéra dans cette cantate de Mozart. Elle aurait bien fait d'écouter un enregistrement d'Arleen Auger. Même si elle n'aurait jamais pu les égaler, elle aurait au moins pu s'approprier l'un ou l'autre...

Impeccablement chanté. Une petite réserve néanmoins; si le chef est manifestement dans l'esprit "Exultez, jubilez !", la chanteuse est un poil trop sérieuse, retenue. Cela dit, on aimerait que la technique vocale soit toujours aussi saine chez ses consoeurs.
