Good detective work!! I just ordered one. Thanks again.

this is pro tip:) thanks! Another one for vista camera is to put a camera cover case upside down. That way you have additional 1cm.

Can you replace the camera with a hdmi male plug and transfer say hdmi in to your head set through the air unit ?

Did you just connect the plugs without removing the excess wires from the Magic? If so, then I’m going to order a wire for a build I have where I’m 40mm’s short. Thanks for the video.
@RichardGilmoreDronetech4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Just connect the cable as it is. The spare wires are not used. Just connect and go. It's very easy 👍

hello can it be used with caddx vista ?
@RichardGilmoreDronetech4 жыл бұрын
Yes it can. Same cable as standard Air Unit. This cable will work also. 👍

Cool vid, thanks. I wish there was something longer, like 25 or 30cm.

Same for me, I need at least 30cm to use the Vista on a nano drak wing

@@lucasfoussier I'm in the same boat in wanting to use it with a MD or a ND. Really, any fixed wing aircraft where the VTX bay is already there.

@@MrGantzFan I bought few cables and some wires, i am planning to make my own extension cable, at least 40 tiny soldering point, it gonna be tricky i will keep you aware :)

@@MrGantzFan Unfortunately it do not work, there is no image with my homemade cable... The cable are to thin, they are clearly do not prepared for be soldered... I am figuring out another emplacement on my fixed wign for the air unit

@@lucasfoussier It turns out these are micro-coax cables. Crazy difficult to build cables without proper equipment. I started a thread in the DJI forum asking for longer ones, perhaps 30 and 40cm long.

This is wonderful. I've been looking for a solution since the Vista 12cm replacement cable is the same length as the stock cable it came with. So you just pushed the cable trough the metal camera back plate? Maybe this could be a useful video to show us how you did this? Just so we don't break our existing cables and replacement cables.

I'll get on that mate. No worries. Had a break from KZbin for a while there. Sorry for the late reply

Why not just cut original cable in the middle, and add extra wire in a middle of required length? U can soldier them directly, or even add plugs with crimping tool to make it easily adjustable for future models with different lengths
@RichardGilmoreDronetech3 жыл бұрын
Have you ever tried to join 20 individual wires that are less than 0.25 mm in diameter?
@VadimBryksin3 жыл бұрын
@@RichardGilmoreDronetech I just unscrew the air unit to see the wires inside, and yes it was shocking, literally 20 micro wires... Possible it is possible to connect after the split, but u right it will be micro job :(
