Loved the XJ6 so much, when I had to left my UK XJ6 behind, eventually found another LHD, so here I am changing the Trans again, great video, XJ6 over the V12 , that is simply too heavy.

I've FINALLY just got my first X300 after wanting one forever I'm in the UK so there's quite alot of them around I managed to get one with 136k on the clock but idk when it's last been serviced as the history has been lost. Hey Jimmy. My daughter gets an A/T light come on whenever she drives in hilly conditions and hot temps. Downhill, or colder temps its fine. I checked the level on the tranny dip stick, and its definitely not low. But she does have shifting delays in the first few gears. You think its just bad fluid? Just needs a drain and refill? And i saw you only replaced with one small bottle. Is that all it takes? She has an 97 XJ6 L

Where did you order your filter from? The one from the link you provided says it fits our jags but it looks different. Missing another “hole” on the filter.

I used mine with a 2x6 and it worked like a charm, lifting at the crossmember frame he showed in the video. 👍

Hey.... So my oil pan exploded on an X306 just two days after I bought it.... What happened, and do you know where I can find a gasket? Because this car just ain't the previous owner's problem and yet he's probably sourced a new oil pan.... Regarding the ZF 4HP-24 (The transmission that came with the naturally aspirated 4 litre engine), the same thing applies to the Jag as the BMWs and Land Rovers of the period: There is only one fault which is the solenoid. It fails after some period of time. What do you know about doing a Getrag 290 conversion? on these cars?

Get in touch with swallows racing here in the UK they run a fleet of x300 and xj40 race cars but they've just done a conversion for the xk8 on the deivetribe channel. They are masters of all things jag
