Got to do my 92. Wish to be so simple and at 1200$"..

I went through this process after I noticed it started bogging down at idle but now I’m having an issue where the rpm’s will drop even while doing 70 on the highway then immediately over revving without me giving it throttle. I’m thinking of replacing the 4th coil as it was misfiring but I’m also thinking it maybe a vacuum leak.. any suggestions or insight?

Nice bro and don't wait to long on the transmission fluid 40.000 miles is perfect for this car ,still light red, not like the c-hr transmission 40.000 is a little late. dark gray

How often should this fluid be changed? I have a 2002 Merc Grand Marquis and have rebuilt everything in it, including new axles.

I'm working on my 92 with the 4.9L. How the hell did you get the bottom torx bolt, and the bolt on the bottom under the pully out. I've spent an hour and a half on just those 2, and still don't have them out. I'm about ready to push this thing off a cliff.

What you need to know is that you have to reserve a large amount of money for repairs and maintenance. It's a relatively complicated car. If you do not hesitate do do some of the things yourself the costs are manageable. If you buy one, the first thing you need to replace are all the fuel hoses (expect many in ackward places) and check both tanks for rust. Better is to replace both with aftermarket tanks. Too many of these end up in a bonfire.... Btw, I own one.

The window motor on my Mercury just gave out. I did something similar on the Crown Vic I was driving once, but this video definitely helped me answer that question I was asking myself, "How the hell did I do this last time?" Thanks, man! Edit: Two other things. 1. The punch part was always goddamn nerve racking. 2. You just earned a new sub for your Mercury content, chief.
