So can we just take a moment to appreciate how Piers puts a ton of effort into being an awesome older brother? He assembles team yell, gets Marnie her first pokemon, and in the postgame, he IMMEDIATELY panics that Marnie might be in trouble every time Sonia says a new dynamax issue popped up. Game Freak was worried about a dark type gym leader seeming evil, and ended up making a dark type gym leader that comes across as a doting, almost over-protective older brother that looks like he desperately needs a nap (seriously, he looks SO tired, all the time). Can we, as a community, just collectively give this man a hug? He deserves it.
