I bought my 3v gear posse sling bag last fall. Called them up and it was easy to order. In my bag I have the following: Front Zipper - Johnson & Johnson small bandage kit. Added Tylenol and Advil container both from Walmart. Also have and extra magazine for Glock 42. Second Zipper - pen, pencil, sharpie, gerber knife, small flashlight, extra USB batter charger, cell phone charger cable, earbuds, couple zip ties. Third Zipper - harbor freight flashlight, small multi-tool, gerber dime multi-tool, two big lighters. Main Zipper Area - bag of beef jerky, notepad, hand warmers, mechanic gloves, altoids tin, box of 380 ammo, bandanas, Velcro strip. I use this for back and forth to work and other errands. Stays on me 50% and in my car the other 50% of the time.

I actually do carry a heavier bag if I'm going more than 1 hour from my home. That's because I live in a damn cold place in Canada. That's because I don't drive if I've had 2 beer so I often leave my vehicle home and rely on transit which has a habit of stopping before I'm done and on certain days getting a cab is impossible like Halloween night, etc. I usually decide to purchase more than I planned when I go out. . My bag is around 15 pounds but I have 2 personal furnaces and can cook a hot meal and heat my personal area in the worst conditions and entertain myself while I'm doing that. The extra's I carry are - A hot water bottle A reflective bivvy and toss my hot water bottle in that. A tomato juice tin pot to cook in or heat water for my hot water bottle A tiny tuna can corrugated cardboard and wax stove. A couple of candles to keep my stove topped up. . A folding solar panel to keep my electrical devices topped up so I can talk to my Asian friends ( my midnight is their noon) and listen to music, watch facebook or youtube and play games. ( that stuff matters ) And of course a powerbank of at least 10,000 mAh. . A drop sheet to keep the wind and rain off. . I'm the hapoiest I'm the happiest hobo in town when I'm stuck in a bad situation. Well worth the little extra weight in a frozen world.

Cheap space blanket, cheap rain poncho..just the $1.00 ones for each... They are small, thin, (would go perfect in the hidden pocket) and lastly, wet ones from the travel section of grocery store or walmart would go great in the very front bottom pocket where you keep you business cards...(odd how much i use those now that i have them...especially with the kids!) Other than that, we carry pretty much the same!! Great video!! Im gonna go check out those packs...im using the vanquest trident 20 at the moment...

This is definitely a more practical setup than you often see on youtube. Only thing I would suggest you add is one of those power pack things that you can charge devices off of. I watched one guy on here who had just about every "tacticool" keychain doodad made in the knife/firearms industry, like 3 flashlights, 2 knife sharpeners, 3-4 different knives, a multitool, a copy of the constitution, 3 or so diff fire making setups plus lighters and matches and a bunch of other kinda superfluous stuff. Not really talking shit on the guy but it definitely seemed a bit excessive for an edc bag.I find mine really useful in the summer when I tend to wear really lightweight shorts most days and don't want my pockets full of stuff and my pistol pulling down my shorts. I also always carry it when I ride my motorcycle as it's a very stripped down, bare bones cafe racer style bike and I have no saddlebags or anything to keep stuff in affixed to the bike.

I was recently robbed for my Maxpedition Remora. I carried (and adored) that bag for 4 years. I ended up on the ground with the strap of my Remora wrapped around his neck in a headlock, his buddy pulled him by the legs out of my lock and they got up and ran (with my bag) I could've drawn my firearm, Or benchmade dagger (been training various mma for a few years) but I decided my life wasn't in serious danger and there was no need to seriously injure or kill them. However I am HEARTBROKEN. I'm recently laid off and low on cash but I've bought a few bags and returned them because none lived up to the Remora. I've seen this pack around and it always piqued my attention but being new to the market made me glance over it. After seeing it's layout in your video I'm near convinced this IS the bag I need. It looks EVEN BETTER than my much missed Remora. Tell me though, is the build quality the same as maxpedition? 1000D cordura nylon? #10YKK Zips? Price point? If so, THIS IS IT!!!

I carry pretty similar things myself, but that's in a 40L pack that I carry to college and in the car - more like your "get home bag" I think. I like to carry a lightweight poncho,merino top and wool beanie too, but NZs weather is fickle and wet & I found myself briefly homeless after the 2011 earthquake. It gave me a sudden appreciation for shelter :) My sunglasses are also safety glasses. My water bottle is stainless steel for boiling and extra warmth at night. My pocket edc is flashlight, bandanna, penknife, bic lighter, thumbdrive, carabiner on keyring (attached to pants with paracord), wallet with a stanley knife blade inside, phone. I think I'll wrap some paracord around a webbing belt - I don't like bracelets & make a water bottle belt pouch, it's been a dry summer. Do you carry cordage? Do you get much benefit from carrying 3 blades? When exactly would you need 2-3 extra magazines, or even 1 extra with a Glock? That folding knife on the outside of the bag is an attractive target for a pickpocket.
@livingsurvival9 жыл бұрын
cnawan First, thanks for the comment, your loadout sounds well thought out and great. I know what you mean about once you are in a certain situation you really find out quick how prepared you are and what to change. I do have to add some cordage. As far as 3 knives, I don't always have a blade on my pocket, so having a knife/multi-tool in the pack guarantees I will most likely never be stuck without one. The fixed blade necker is just nice to have a little larger blade.

Nice looking bag Living Survival I was looking at this one, but 3V Gear is currently out of stock on it. Their site said it wouldn't be available until Fall 2015. They are currently working to move production to a better manufacturer. I considered going with the 3V Gear Outlaw Sling Pack since the other was out of stock. This would give me the hydration bladder option for traveling out of the country also.
