I'm one of the few Americans who loves Rugby... England is obviously a better team- rugby is a much more popular sport there, but I liked that our boys didn't give up and were able to get a try at the end, for pride. I love how the American fans, despite being down 45-0 against a much better team, got excited for the last try. Good luck the rest of the way, England!

Scotland fan here. The America team were class. One of my favourite games of all time. In 10-20 years I fear you will be better than all of us seeing how well rugby is doing over in the states. Wow! Thank you, World Rugby! What a game! I doubt England could be beaten by any team in that one - an incredible display of skills. Very frustrating for USA to be hit with that in their first game, but to their real credit they didn't stop trying, and they made a great game out of it. Totally entertaining, beautifully edited highlights, and great commentary too.

@@sameuljones5496 Nah mate! I don't believe the ABC stuff. Every team at this level is carefully selected with a plan in mind. They all want to win and improve. There is no AB C team. I just looked again at these highlights. I'd be happy to see a black team playing as well as that red team on the day. Admittedly they only had to play against 14 for the last 10 minutes but, to make up for that, they kept the ball in play after full-time which allowed both teams a chance to finish in style. And that's what happened.

I'd hate to suggest this but have we just witnessed the first hollywood-style penalty starting to creep into the game? Farrell knew he'd thumbled the ball close to his line. With much to forfeit he then positioned himself for the shoulder charge that ultimately, he knew what outcome would be. Look closely at his eyes just before the hit in the replay and ask yourself? I take one bet this explains the smile on Eddie Jones' face cometh the final rounds. You only have to watch English football to realise how transferable these skills are and England players are as passionate about this as their footballing counterparts. With that in mind, it'll catch other teams out as has happened here.

I have not seen the stats, but most probably, I feel the USA weight was enough in terms of the sum of the weight of players. How inefficient the plays are by the USA, surprising. Probably all the fine athletes go to other sports.

Basketball and American football are different sports , you could add all the professionals from both sports , train them for 10 years and they'd still lose, you need different capabilities, you have to be big, strong and fast for all of them but you also need the stamina to run for 80 minutes to play Rugby Union, even more so for Rugby league which is relentless.

Theyre explosive but they have no Stamina, in rugby a back runs 4/5 miles per game, a running back will do half a mile at most, wide receivers and corner backs run the most at approximately 1.25 miles per game. Rugby Forwards only do 3/4 miles per game, but linemen and linebackers don't do anywhere near that. They would all blow up after 10/15 minutes, I've seen them try rugby league and they just can't keep going.

Fitness won't be an issue for the U.S. and game time will see improvements. Who they will beat not certain but here's hoping the U.S. get a victory.

Three consecutive World Cups in the Northern Hemisphere makes that highly unlikely. Probably Australia or Argentina for 2027.

Americans don't like losers, they need a lot more time to become competitive, if they got hammered like that a few times at home it could have the opposite effect and turn the American public right off the game.
