I love Jodie Foster. We are the same age so I grew up with her. I remember her going back to The Courtship of Eddie's Father (TV). She was hilarious in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. I wasn't at all surprised she ended up having a magnificent career as an adult. She directed two of my favorite movies, "Little Man Tate" and "Home for the Holidays".

I absolutely loved Nyad. I thought it was refreshing and incredibly inspiring. Annette did such great work and Jodi was such a joy to watch. Jodie Foster is such a perfectionist; she came to the Juilliard Pre-College Division (when I was director) to walk around and take in the atmosphere of genius at work and play. I approached my friend, composer Bruce Adolphe who was the teacher of the youngster Little Man Tate was based on. They agreed to have JF in for an extended visit; she was so impressed with the multi-talented youngster who came in as a piano major and then added composition to his resume--(he had never heard of her, which I think particularly touched her) The final version of the movie had so many mannerisms and characteristics of Ore (means "light" in Hebrew). For those who were familiar with Ore, he was recognizable!😀🥰
