The time has come to get it in, 500kg of steel at 5.1 metres long its defiantly not the lightest thing we've ever installed. In actual fact it went lot easier than we expected. normally it takes a good few hours but this was 1st time effort! A big help from Mr. Genie.

Doesn’t the steel need a cavity tray?! With weep holes? To be packed with slate and sit on padstones not brick with 150mm bearings?

just wondering how you know the mortar on the top of the bricks will stop the weight of the bricks above moving ? does it always hold this way as i am wondering if the whole top of the brick is covered ..great vid cheers

You just have to make sure its jammed packed in so it bulges out
