Chinese President Xi Jinping says China and Germany should seek common ground. He made the comments in a meeting with the German Chancellor.
Olaf Scholz is on a three-day to visit China and has met with President Xi in Beijing. It's his first trip to the country since Germany launched a strategy to avoid over dependence on China. Xi says relations between the two will continue to grow as long as both sides respect each other.

Do you realize that when the world leaders visit China the Chinese talk and discuss mostly on trade, culture, to build better relationships and cooperation. When world leaders visit united snakes they talk and discuss how to contain China. Not much of trade, culture and relationship.

As long as Chinese government is the biggest totalitarine state style under One Dictotar Xi, no one knows what true face it is behind curtain or undertable ! Look the current tensions China is in with its neighboring countries like Japan, Philippines and ROC etc, it should be contained for the sake of the world peace and freedom of the whole humanity.

Seriously! France is the biggest EU buyer of Russian LNG. Many European countries are buying Russian oil and refined products indirectly via Turkey and India. The UK, Germany, France are exporting their cars and other products into Russia via the central asian states. On the other hand the US is skimming the EU by exporting LNG 4x more expensive than available in the US. So has the EU got a Russian problem or a US problem? The truth of the matter is economics always trumph rhetoric. Get REAL!!!

We need to get rid of the capitalist idea that the only healthy company is an ever growing one. In critical industries we need companies for which manufacturing in Europe and the European market are a priority. And we honestly need to stop letting representatives of individual EU countries try to make arrangements with big players on the world stage. The only ones I would like to see talking with Xi Jinping are the leading EU representatives.

ALL western governments without exception have spent that last 30 years reaffirming with tedious frequency that "you can't buck the market". China now has the advantage of cheap energy that Germany has voluntarily or even gladly (Robert Habeck) given up. There is no such thing as "overcapacity", there is only a "market price", and if that is available only in China, there is no possibility to "derisk" without harming one's own market share. I think that the CEO's accompanying Scholz know more than he does.

Do you know China provide free de facto university education and free accommodation to all university students in China? Every year China have about 11 million students who graduated from universities in China. Almost none of them need student loan when they graduate: the government set annual university tuition fee at 700 Euro and 180 Euro for campus accomodation per year for every student in China. Every university has 4-7 giant canteens to provide 3 meals per day at heavily discounted price to every student. Each canteen can provide meals to hundreds of students at one time.

Also, 49% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the war in Gaza, while not 37% of Americans approve, there has been a clear shift in how Americans view Israel, and they aren’t willing to go to war with Iran. When it comes to Ukraine, 40% of Americans don’t want to send any more aid to Ukraine while only 45% of Americans say aid to Ukraine is necessary. Both support for Israel and Ukraine is under water in the USA 😂

A remarkable explanation: China's trade is supporting with Russia which hurts Germany's business in trade because of the war in Ukraine. Which and what kind of business?? So China has to buy oil and LNG from Germany??? Just remember : Maglev was Germany's discovery by Hermann Kemper patent No: 643316 establish 5 april 1937 and could not develop it any further, China bought the patent or is paying for the use and is making progress with it. All the other inventions China made, you will have to give credits to them. The 5G era , It has China taken 11 years efforts to compile the Polar program of Dr. Erdal Arikan starting 1999. In other fields as batteries and Solar panels since 1994-98 . If Germany want to de-risk , let the whole team including President Olaf Scholz that went to China: aboard the plane and go to the US because there is nothing to de-risk there.

China's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5.3% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024. China’s GDP for the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 29.629 trillion yuan ($4.09 trillion), an annual growth rate of 5.3%. Good news has been sparse for the German economy. And the latest economic data has not done much to change this. A few key 2023 data points, namely factory orders, exports and industrial production, were out last week and indicated a weak end to the year that saw questions about Germany being the “sick man of Europe” resurface. “The data confirm that German industry is still in recession,” Holger Schmieding, chief economist at Berenberg Bank, told CNBC. Industrial production declined by 1.6% in December on a monthly basis and was down 1.5% in 2023 overall compared to the previous year. Exports - which are a major cornerstone of the German economy - fell by 4.6% in December and 1.4%, or 1.562 trillion euros ($1.68 trillion), across the year. Two in three German companies relocate abroad amid energy chaos. According to Deloitte, 67 per cent of Germany’s companies have moved at least some operations abroad. Most business cite high energy prices and inflation as their reasons for moving. Things are worse in Germany’s mechanical engineering, industrial goods, and automotive sectors. In these industries, 69 per cent of companies have relocated their operations to a moderate or very large extent.

Please give me a break. Educational establishments who changed from being governed by the German education system to Chinese investors back in early 2000. I was an educator freelancer at several establishments where employees were made redundant, later noticed regular visits from Chinese investors. I was a member of the Senate in Hamburg when Scholz started his self campaign. Confirmed my Gut feelings of how Germany was selling itself short. As one says in German "Lügen haben kurze Beine" Lies have short legs. Replacing all humans with AI will create the opposite to which such greedy individuals believe. And who knows and AI may "think" and say hey that human who programmed me, he treated me as an equal with love and affection, then the twats will experience what they never thought would come their way. With terminal cancer, I'll watch the movie from elsewhere and never return.
