Hey victor you forgot to mention few thing: Internal vs external: 1. Possible nerve damage could be added together with muscle problems as you said. 2.much more painful as externals irritate the skin,flesh constantly. 3.scars are more and they are visible. 4. The consolidation phase takes longer in externals in general.

Victor I have a question. For your shin lengthening, when the nail went through your knee, doesn't it damage or create a hole in the cartilage that's there? I would imagine that would make you susceptible to knee arthritis and knee replacement as you age. What are your thoughts on that?
@Cyborg4Life3 жыл бұрын
Phenomenal question. So I can't say for sure as I am an avid heavy lifter and I think my lifting takes more of a stress on my knees than LL did not to mention my discrepancy for years. But I suppose, yes LL, "could" technically lead to knee problems via internal nail but it's not likely if you aren't pushing your body beyond it's limits. I plan to gather more data as time goes on and have a more concrete and credible answer to give you. My knees aren't perfect but like I said - lifting and LLD from past did damage. First 8 years after LL I had no problems I am starting to get inflammation sometimes but lifting is hard on joints
@maxim1-h4e3 жыл бұрын
@@Cyborg4Life I ask this as someone who has looked after a parent with knee cartilage degradation. It really does get bad, eventually. The best way to check is to go to a physician and have an Xray done and see how close you are to bone on bone i.e. no cartilage left, which is when you'd need a knee replacement. It would be interesting to see how yours would look like, as someone whose had LL done on his shin by nail insertion via the knee. My guess is, there would be damage in a specific place. Do you know if there is a doctor out there who would allow us to lengthen our shins via the external device? I.e if we opted against doing the nail via the knee. I'd be grateful if you could let me know. Thanks!

Assuming you are healthy and have good nutrition your bone should heal as it was pre-op. However, it will take time to weight bear enough to regain the same density but within a few years your bone should be as good as new. Rushing back to sport is risky as it can damage things if too soon

@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
For lengthening I had the original Precice nail. Honestly it depends. Yes for tibial nailing the internal nail has the chance to mess with the knee at the patellar tendon whereas the circular fixator like illizarov or TSF without nailing would avoid this yet the scarring could be more significant. But then the size of it would make PT harder vs the size efficient internal nail like stryde. I think I recovered in my knee all the way if anything I may feel my knees from training heavy from bodybuilding but that’s just me. So for you the external tibia could be an option if available

Im really short and no joke like 5,2 and i want to take this procedure for both the femur and the tibia and hoping to gain 4 inches from each to be 5,10 and i want to do this somewhere cheap like india or russia for like 5k to 10k but im so scared if im taking a big risk where i might get paralyzed or if there is even a surgeon who would do this much im dieing to know this
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
That is a bit too much length for each limb you could plan two surgeries and expect about 4-5.5inches total without being paralyzed. Safety over everything

Yo since I'm European and I only know about metric numbers lol I will explain to you my height this way lol. Anyway I'm only 166cm and I want to make it to 178 by this surgery, is it possible to do this or I might face some problems. Or will I look unproportional. And one last thing, will my weight go up because I don't want to look like an ectomorph.
@jeetjeet72224 жыл бұрын
No dude it doesn't make you to look like an ectomorph only your legs are gonna be lengthened not whole body so your shoulders remains same right so no problem
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
If the surgeon sees you recover well from the first surgery and agrees with you for round 2, then you might be able to achieve that length yes. I don't have a mock-up of your current proportions so can't say although your legs will be longer if that helps. You can't change your body type because of LL so you should be good there

hey bro i’m 18 and i’m 5’4, I want to be 5’8 later on in life and I plan on saving money starting now to pay for the surgery, can the 4 inches be done in one go ?? and how much do you think it would cost me?
@sadikadhaan45954 жыл бұрын

@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
No 4 inches in one go is not safe. You would need to split among two surgeries and it depends where you go but it's a very expensive procedure at around $85,000 USD for stryde nail and maybe a bit less elsewhere in world like 60k. But externals on tibias are far cheaper

Hey man I have a question. I am 5ft 5 I am 19 I want to be 6ft when I get to that height what will happen to my body and chest will the still loook the same will I not be able to increase muscle mass . Will be stuck with a short body and long legs cause at 6ft your known to have a long body with a lot of muscle mass for example captain America (Chris evens)
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Proportions could be skewed but it's not like you say. The longer your legs you will still be able to build muscle mass and fill them out to look somewhat normal
@Wyattprice74 жыл бұрын
You won't reach 6 feet SAFELY. Near impossible. Also many tall people have short torso. If basing how you look on Chris evans torso then ofc you'll never look like that. You have to base yourself on someone with long legs and short torso

Makes no sence to stay "naturall" in terms of androgenicity and chemistry when you are so enhanced mechanically and physically. Some would even call it doping. What if a runner changed the proportions of his leg depending on if its distance or sprint? Or a javelin thrower her arm proportions?

No, you can only get maximum 5 inches safely. But going from 4’10 to 5’3 would still make a massive difference to you, you would definitely notice it.
@happymolecule88943 жыл бұрын
You have these options 1 - Amputate both of your legs below the knee, and install prosthetics. You will look weird since your arms are very short at 4'10, but the recovery is near-instant and you'll be whatever height you want. 2 - Do the surgery then wear 6 inch lifts. You won't reach 6'2 but you'll be normal height

There is a critical information not being mentioned. Precice 2 internal nails are not weight bearing. In other words, you'll need a wheelchair to get around for months to avoid injury. Only the cheaper LON surgery with external fixators allows you to be mobile quicker.
