Sun star also makes the car that is a folding hard top. That model is the 1957 ford skyliner.

nice model 2 bad the hood ornament was broken I would return it and ask for an un damaged model at that price. I belong to the older people that watched the Lucy Ball shows thank you, and yes these figures added are very nice indeed! I think Sun Star did a good job considering the many details, great wheels, nice hood hinges and invisible door hinges. I have a number of 1:12 models of Sun Star and man are they f ing nice all works even the windows roll down as they should well far out!! Auto Art make way LOL! How nice you fall for fifties Americans now I have 3 models of the 1958 Plymouth Fury aka Christine, built in my year of birth, a very nice but jealous female car with big fins from the movie Christine based on the novel by Stephen King. The wheels steer and turn and the double headlights work, go check that out too! You'll just love it! Autoworld AWSS102 te be exact.

"I Love Lucy" was already 35yrs old when I was a kid, but they played old reruns on cable TV channel TBS so I'd caught it on before when flipping channels. Since you like big black luxury sedans and 50s cars, I would recommend the Sun Star 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. It's not a great model (not Platinum), mine has quality issues, doors don't line up perfectly on one side. However, I think it's worth it because the real car is so amazing and it's fully opening. It was ultra-luxury and was the most expensive car in 1957, more than Rolls Royce. It had full air suspension, power open and closing trunk, memory seats, AC, auto headlight dimming, stainless steel roof, and aluminum wheels. You should check KZbin vids and Google for info on this car, I think it was truly the absolute best car of the 1950s. The model is on eBay all the time, I got mine for $55 shipped. Even though not the best quality, it's beautiful to look at.

@@ExternalStar Hopefully yours has less quality issues than mine. Mine could be very old since I bought it used. I think they made this model many years. In addition to doors not lining up (on one side only), in many spots you can see where they cut the chrome parts off the sprue. Also 1 front wheel is 1mm off the ground (it has no suspension). Being non-Platinum, some things are not high-end like taillights on the fins are painted and not transparent red plastic. Grille is not perforated, and ceiling isn't finished. Still very beautiful and worth keeping for me. My wife says it's her favorite of all my models.
