Long ago I made a Tamiya Citroën 2cv6 , 1/24. I think it is a very good brand, very precise, everything fits perfectly and looks exactly like the real car. And I was very proud of the result. But seeing your work on this Mini, it is clear to me that there are builders and builder-experts. You must be one of the best.

I owned and worked on a large number of minis in the 70s and 80s and watching this film bought it all back, even down to the hinged rear no plate! The only thing your wonderful model lacks is rusty inner and outer cills and a plastic bag wrapped around the distributor to keep the water out! Absolutely wonderful...

I can't add anything more to the wonderful comments about your skill. I was very fortunate that my parents came to England from Nyasaland with me as a very young boy. They bought one exactly the same, both type and very similar colour. We toured through to Egypt from England and then it was shipped to Nyasaland. I then went to school in it driven by my parents! Thanks for evoking such memories.

This was a joy to watch. My first car was one of these. Inherited from my Dad circa 1983, it served me well for the first 4 or 5 years of my driving 'career'. An abiding memory (apart from endless tinkering with the recalcitrant starter motor) is of it dying in the fast lane of the M5 at Bristol during a rainstorm in the middle of the night and my brother and I having to get out and push it across three lanes to the hard shoulder in pitch darkness while HGVs swerved around us. Good times. Eventually I sold it for a pittance (not even beer money) to the father of a good friend. After hours of haggling over the price I handed over the keys and watched as he reversed it out of my parent's driveway. The boot lid fell off as the car bumped down over the very gentle curb and was run over, bending it irreversibly out of shape. I'd love to have that car back.
