Either way if synths are programed to get along then even if they were able to break there programing then there Is still that small chance that they are still peacfull to one another. Even if there was stuff in their reality where a world war might have happened then there is no evidence to go along with it. And if you haven't seen the movie then there was a scene where humans were protesting the synths and the synths wanted to remain peacfull if they could. Between humans and synths, it's hard to tell. The synths SEEMED like they were fine with the humans unless the humans acted violent to the synths. The humans on the other hand didn't seem to treat synths like they treated other humans.

It's cliched, but good. However, the story line is bumbling to say the least. Humanity that is capable of advanced tech to the point of synthetic life and interstellar travel fear robots? Even going the ole' Skynet route and have a rouge AI kick things off would've been better served as a motivation for the human's first strike. And then the robots feeling bad about it, knowing the humans are coming back, but doing jack all to prepare. A good plot twist that was mistreated by a bad story.

Two important points you seem to have overlooked. 1. Early in the film, we see Alice painting the Whole Health logo just off camera, implying that she subconsciously remembers having been there before. 2. I believe the girls' human parents were killed by other humans, because they were protecting their kids, even as the humans wanted to kill them for being synths. Their parents fought back, so they were murdered. Because humans will kill other humans if they don't agree with their beliefs.
@MattZim1012 жыл бұрын
Small correction to your second point. Human did not kill their foster parents. When the war broke out, the syn(AI) targeted human and vice versa and eventually their human foster parents ended up killed by machine while protecting the two kids. This was proved at the time when the war was won by machine and human been driven away, the older kid pointed gun to their own kind(future parents) while the younger one sitting down weeping.

when i was watching the movie, i thought it was super predictable and generic, but after the twist, i realized that the subpar and uninteresting plotline was there for the buildup of the twist and tricked you into thinking that you knew what was going on but you really didnt know what was going on. IMO very effective, however also a double edged sword, since you spend most of the movie thinking this is nothing new, so intrigue is low until the twist. Also another issue is that nothing really happens after the twist, and it feels like we didnt really get to a climax.

Simple Machines take people jobs away. People get reasonably mad. A big push comes to pass a law to "turn off the machines" to get jobs back. The same time rumors start spreading about machines becoming sentient. Most people think this is a very "convenient coincidence" just when the new law is about to pass and don't believe it. People who have families to feed and are unemployed. Start pushing the law to pass even sooner. Then word gets out some robots killed some humans. Now people want them "turn off" even more. To save their big money maker. The manufacturers making the robots, claim that terrorist hacked the robots to kill those people. By implanting a virus. However the killings continued by the robots. A rumor start spreading all the robots were infected by the Killing virus. A new law passed to force shut down all robots. A war started. To many people were dying by the killer robots. People weren't feeling safe. So the government ordered an immediate evacuation off the plant so people can be safe from the killer robots. After years on Mars. The stories of the robots have gotten a bit "over exaggerated". The people on mars were running low on resources. Some new head politician encourage people to return back to Earth and take their plant back from the evil killer robots.

They have already become sentient. And like humans they’ve developed the natural instinct to survive. So when the time comes to be “turned off” they try to survive by any means necessary. Even if that means killing humans in self defense. When the humans realize their plan to kill the robots wasn’t as easy as they thought it would be, and they lose the war. They evacuate to mars, and devise another plan to kill them.

I really liked this movie. It’s been a very long time since I was completely gobsmacked and had absolutely no idea of what was. It NEVER even crossed my mind. Again, I truly enjoyed this and it’s something I wanna see again to see if I missed clues. Usually, I can look back and recall the moments that gave us clues. He mentioned the no eating which I hadn’t noticed or forgot when I initially watched. However, the cold emotions just seemed like a couple maybe losing their connection and thus have essentially started to just live like roommates

The film leaves it all too open ended. For all we know the humans continued to exterminate the synths as there's just too much deep rooted hatred against them and even if mikes and even a few others realize they're not monsters, it's not enough to stop the genocide.
@bhavrajpannu82116 жыл бұрын
@American Crusader that logic could be applied to any population if the people commiting the genocide think that way, even if it's other humans with different skin color or beliefs.
