i think this character was based on the late Don Simpson. Don would do several lines of coke, drink a stiff drink, and then call up some poor writer working for him and just demolish the guy.

Despite all the amazing movies Tom Cruise has done, and all the awesome characters he has played, Les Grossman has to be one of the best if not _the_ best he's ever brought to life on the screen. The entire G5 scene is pure comedy gold, Cruise nails it.

I didn't realize for a long time that was Tom Cruise. He really needs to do more comedies because he's got comedic chops.

This is the greatest acting role ever performed. This should've got an Oscar. It's funny with all the comedic stars in this movie who were all great but, the funniest best part of the movie were 2 dramatic actors, Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr. were the 2 standout performances.

Full disclaimer: I watched the whole movie the first time in theaters wondering who that was. I LITERALLY had no idea it was Tom Cruise. I was thinking "he sounds kinda like Tom Cruise, but that can't be him" Great work👍 also thought of the irony at 6:01 of 2 former sexiest man alive winners talking about a 1998 3rd runner up😎

@@RW-zh7klI'm as progressive as they come. This movie is the pinnacle of comedy. Especially with Tom Cruise's role as Les. This breaks the 4th wall and beyond. This is his BEST role. Bar none. I'll work out the PC deets. It's controversial but it genuinely works with modern comedy
