I'm Irish and, as a people, we suffer from some serious psychological derangement. We were the first colonised country of the British empire. We are still suffering from that trauma, I believe. We lost so much. Our language, our land. Our cultural beliefs were corroded. I'm not trying to degrade what this Irish man had gone through. He's living his life and that's the path he has chosen. But I don't see why we should hold up the life of crime as some kind of heroic purpose. There's so many other elements of Irish culture that should be celebrated
