"slightly annoying" what do you mean ? now, most vehicle when hit and it penetrate, you have a higher chance that it will be combat ineffective (as they should) even if the gunner isn't hit or gun isn't destroyed. great changes.

Annoying for the player i assume, only time that these will ever really effect your pantsir gameplay is if you somehow get strafed by a plane or heli, tanks always have and always will just 1 shot

well there is an annoyance - if this thing is modeled, then why when your engine is turned off it still shows that you are running out of battery? if i remember correctly that exact thing will enable the opportunity to operate electronic stuff when engine is turned off

The Leopard PSO has a hole in its side armor where if you shoot it the round go's through and doesn't spall or damage anything

I think they should model it like gun breaches instead, where there's a visual model and then a actual damage model, if you hit the recoil guard of a gun breach that its just a piece of metal that extends further back from it, it doesn't actually damage the breach, as it should be. So the same should be for the control systems imo, where i think hitting only one of the secondary panels on the driver's controls fully disabling it is a bit silly. This is mostly noticeable on the new desert warrior ifv, where a tiny bit of the driver's controls, which i assume its just some gauges, extends quite further to the left of the main body of the controls, so a angled side shot into the gunner's area has a chance to hit it and completely disable driving too, despite the shot not touching the driver's/main driver's control area. Same for some FCS, where a few have some tiny bits extending to the sides of the main body of it, and when that tiny separated bit or screen is hit it disables the whole thing. Im talking from a it's silly/doesn't seem right perspective, rather than a balancing one

Yeah, they really should`ve though it trough, maybe just add more detailed DM by splitting those into sub-modules (like destroyed driver gauges remove your ability to see everything, but gear selected, destroyed gear shifter locks you in same gear as was selected and stuff like this).

@@DOOM_A-O Bruh just click on it and it dies. When playing arcade, i don't even need to think, as i use HE anyway, so i just overpressure everything. Darts at top tier are overrated anyway. HE is the way to go. Makes people saltier too. Which is always a delight to see in chat.

No wonder you don't think its a big deal, they cant just hide and side shoot you or use their fuse shells on CAS because it tells you where all the enemies are and what they are. the 2s38 is criminally under tiered. Shocking they would do that with a Russian prem.

@@DOOM_A-O The tactic of hiding and shooting the side can be done with any tank that is fast enough to get into a position if the player knows where a good position is. CAS is already overpowered as hell in realistic, so, any vehicle that can deal with it is welcome in my books. Plus, again, it's not the only vehicle with fuse shells that can also hunt ground targets by flanking. And, overpressure is still a thing in realistic, so, bonking it with chemical shells will do the same result as in arcade: killing it in one shot.

@@alexmaximus9134 the problem is, it’s 10.0 or maybe 10.3 now I don’t remember for sure. It has gen 3 therms, it has high pen apfsds, it has literally like 10 times the ammo of the hstvl, it can aim almost vertically, it is an actual auto cannon, it has powerful fuse shells, it has irst, and it’s the same br or lower than the bagel panzer. It’s disgusting. It’s probably the most broken tank currently in the game. It needs at minimum a full br uptiering or significantly inferior light tanks like the HSTVL, bagel panzer, Bradley 2, puma, etc need a large downtiering. Of course neither of those will happen as the 2s38 is 1. Russian, 2. Broken as hell 3. A complete cash cow for gaijin, so it will stay where it is for a long time, maybe forever. What are other light tanks with fuse shells? The bagel panzer that is the same or higher BR iirc, has less ammo, has worse thermals, has no IRST, has solid shot ammo with like half the penetration of the 2s38’s apfsds. Cas at 10.0 definitely isn’t op, especially facing Russia with the 2s38, the Tunguska with missiles, and the extremely powerful strela. It is cancer at top tier where there is stuff that is fire and forget from 20km away, but that’s mostly down to Russia again, having op gear. I’m pretty sure the longest range AA that isn’t Russian is the Swedish/french/russian AA’s using the VT-1 missile with a max range of like 12km. The pantsir can shoot like 25km iirc. But the pantsir is kind of needed to counter shit like the f16 climbing into space and dropping like a half dozen fire and forget missiles at ground targets in 8 seconds.

1: Is the power system related to the battery? When engine is off, does this completely drain the battery? 2: If not, why should it destroy all the other modules. It shouldnt even destroy them in the first place tbh, just disable them from being used. This causes an extra unnecessarily long repair. But if it isn't related to the battery then you should be able to continue using those modules but have battery drain as if engine is off. Also think it shouldn't cause a fire. 3: Electronic equipment shouldn't completely fold the radar nor disable it when not fully damaged. Maybe damaged equipment should cause possible randomized failures of dependent objects, but not entirely disable them.

fun bug with this as well if you're firing the gun when the power system is destroyed you will stop firing as expected but on other peoples view you will still be firing these rounds still create dust effects im unsure if they do damage and the firing wont stop tell you fully repair and fire again it also consumes no ammo and wont over heat

And the good part that no ones speak about missiles nerf, aftee 15km it's impossible to hit maneuvering targets, 10-14km the missiles jiggle all the way (easy to dodge) and 10km bellow you need to manual aim the missiles because their autopilot overcorrect the missile and you miss the target

As a man that has been using the Pantsir I've easily hit targets going defensive at 10-14km, most users don't know but as you said, changing the missile to manual control is the key to actually hitting your target since automatic is easy to trick. However I feel any good Pantsir user can hit a plane manoeuvring =

I wish they would make it so that you can lock targets with radar off since a lot of radars are split between track and search and also IRST being optical, like why can't i optically lock someone when the radar is off....

As nice as it is to see this thing get nerfed, it doesn't fix any of the issues we have with it. It still wildly outclasses anything in game, the radar still works through buildings and terrain half of the time, it outranges most helicopters and jets, and the worst offender of them all - there is no comparable SAM system in the game besides the ToR M1, which is on the side of Russia's best friend, China.

This shit is blood boiling when trying to play the Namer 30. When i get hit almost anywhere, it always somehow destroys the fcs and then enemy just gets to rush at me for a free kill and i cant do shit. And it gets destroyed so fucking easily. Maybe some modules need smaller hitboxes or bigger health pools idk

Ah yes, it wasnt enough that planes had flares, chaff, bombs that can be basicly dropped from 20km away, missiles that can lock on and 1 hit kill, gun pods that are different depending on the plane. Those werent enough now even if a small bomb misses the spaa it will probably still disable something in the spaa so it wont be able to fight back. Nice, how about gaijin just removes ground vehicles and ground battles because ground battles are just becoming air battles where the spaa's are on a higher difficulty.

tbf now, SPAAs used right should almost never die to air even now, especially the pantsir. I personally welcome these changes which are being brought to all those vehicles with massive dead space giving them unrealistic survivability.

@@cobbleturd6978 Yeah, the pantisr is very good, but with the ammount of F-16s in every tech tree each with 6 missiles when a sworm of aircraft spawn its very easy to overwhelm them, i think there should be a cap on how many CAS based loadouts and aircraft can be flying at once, maybe depending on how many SPAA are spawned to, cuz even with a borderline SPAA it can be hard to kill all the jets and then shoot down all their missiles
